Pleasanton, CA — January 1st, 2020 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Beyond Realty, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The brokerage represents the 22nd office location opened in North Carolina for the NextHome franchise.
NextHome Beyond Realty agents offer extensive experience with residential, commercial, investment, and luxury real estate. The team is happy to serve clients across the Triad area including Winston-Salem, High Point, Greensboro, Clemmons, Kernersville, Lewisville, Pfafftown, Advance, Bermuda Run, and the remainder of Forsyth, Davie, Davidson, Guilford, Surry, Stokes and Yadkin counties.
The brokerage is owned by experienced businesswomen Karen Wood and Lori Hankins.
Karen is a veteran in the marketing and advertising industry and got her North Carolina real estate license in 2016. Although she has been interested in real estate for many years, the right opportunity to change careers didn’t present itself until 2016 when she reconnected with a childhood friend and joined a nationally franchised brokerage. Karen made the move to a local boutique brokerage where she used her organizational skills, market knowledge, and marketing insights to help get that brokerage up and running.
Meanwhile, Lori was building two successful businesses in addition to her career as a social worker. Lori is the joint owner of a local furniture store and a long-time Mary Kay Sales Director.
However, in 2018, Lori felt the pull toward real estate. Her career path was similar to Karen’s – she started with a large franchised brokerage but then transitioned to the same boutique brokerage as Karen and that is where they reconnected.
“I was training new agents at that time and when I saw Lori’s name I hoped it was the same person I knew,” Karen said. “We worked well together and our individual skills complemented each other.”
After joining forces at the boutique brokerage, Lori and Karen started building a successful real estate team. The Sweet Homes Carolina team had five agents and its success taught Lori and Karen the power of their partnership.
The two began to consider building their own independent brokerage, but that’s when they discovered NextHome. One day, Karen was flipping through REALTOR Magazine and the franchise’s snappy branding in an advertisement caught her eye.
“As we began to research NextHome, the lightbulb turned on,” Karen said. “We were building all of the marketing, infrastructure, and tools ourselves while it was already built just the way we wanted it to be with NextHome.”
Today, Karen’s experience working for advertising companies in sales and marketing along with Lori’s social work background, the two are helping NextHome Beyond Realty bring professional and people-first service to the Triad area.
“Our main goal is fostering a core group of professional, seasoned agents,” Karen said. “NextHome Beyond Realty offers unparalleled opportunities for agents who love their jobs and want helpful tools to do their jobs quickly, effectively, and efficiently.”
