Pleasanton, CA — December 31, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Signature Real Estate. The brokerage represents the first office location opened in the state of Nebraska for the NextHome franchise.
The company will be led by owners Teresa Elliott and Travis Taylor. Joining them on the leadership team will be Tony Taylor, Janice Klemmensen, and Julie Wilson.
Each member of the leadership team has their official title, as well as one they playfully call themselves within the office.
Omaha born and raised, Teresa is one of the most well-known agents in the city due to her 27 years in real estate. Besides the official title of owner, Travis says she’s a “real estate icon who knows everyone in Omaha.”
Travis is the other brokerage owner and “The Chief of Possibilities.” His husband Tony heads up marketing for the company and is “Coach Extraordinaire.” Janice is the Director of Operations and the “Maestro of Mayhem,” while Julie is the Chief Financial Officer and “The Keeper of the Checkbook.”
The agents at NextHome Signature Real Estate will provide services such as first-time home buyer representation, investor purchases, multi-family purchases and sales, land representation, relocation services, foreclosure and short sales services, real estate design and development, and new construction.
The brokerage will serve clients in both Nebraska and Iowa. In Nebraska, the agents will cover Lincoln, Valley, Ashland, Gretna, Elkhorn, Millard, Papillion, Bennington, Bellevue, and the remainder of the Omaha Metropolitan Area. They will also help residents in the city of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
As one of the most successful agents in Omaha over the past 25 years, Teresa has sold more than 100 transactions annually for more than 20 years. Working her entire career at Prudential (now Berkshire Hathaway), starting the venture with NextHome has been an exciting time for her.
The business relationship between the Taylors and Teresa spans nearly 15 years. Working together on multiple real estate development deals, the trio has an amazing working relationship.
“Teresa exudes positivity and energy and when she walks in a room, you can’t help but smile when you meet her,” said Tony. “Add in the fact that she knows so many people in the community and you have yourself one amazing real estate leader.”
The Taylors partnered with Teresa in late 2017 and the team’s business has continued to roll.
In 2018, the Elliott Team sold 128 transactions to the tune of more than $43 million in volume – making them one of the top teams in the state of Nebraska.
“Working alongside Teresa and the team has been such a wonderful journey thus far,” said Travis. “Tony and I have had the chance to work with her for almost 15 years. It’s been great and with us now becoming NextHome Signature Real Estate, the best is yet to come.”
Interested in more than growing the team and subsequent business, the Taylors and Teresa felt it was time to go out on their own. When they found NextHome, it was a suggestion by Teresa’s longtime real estate colleague and owner of NextHome KU Realty, Keahi Pelayo, that was the additional push that moved them to open their own brokerage.
“We want to provide our clients the high level of service they deserve, while staying in a boutique environment, with full-time educated real estate professionals,” said Tony. “When we found NextHome, we found a company that aligned perfectly with how we thought.”

In 2018, the combined numbers of all NextHome Signature Real Estate exceed 250 transactions and more than $75 million in volume, making them one of the top brokerages in the city.
