Pleasanton, CA — August 29, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome NW Realty – Vancouver Branch. The brokerage represents the fifth office location opened in the state of Washington for the NextHome franchise.
This is the third office location opened by Dustin Slack and Kurt Kalimanis. This location adds to their already successful Oregon NextHome offices located in Portland and Bend.
The brokerage will be led by Designated Managing Broker Angela Jolley. She will handle all day-to-day operations and provide agent support for the brokerage.
NextHome NW Realty – Vancouver Branch will handle transactions in the cities of Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, La Center, Woodland, Kalama, the Vancouver Metropolitan Area, and the rest of Clark and Cowlitz counties.
The brokerage will provide services such as first-time home buyer representation, investor purchases, multi-family purchases and sales, land representation, condominium purchases, and new construction.
Angela has been in the real estate industry for more than 20 years. Starting in 1997, she was the office manager for the Northwest Multiple Listing System satellite office. Although she enjoyed her time assisting REALTORS®, she was drawn to the opportunity to sell homes rather than just work on the data side of the business.
She attained her license in 2003 and started with Seattle-based Better Properties. Working there for several years, Angela relocated to Portland in 2011, but continued her dual licensing in both Washington and Oregon.
In 2014, Angela met Dustin through a regional franchise meeting and later that year, she opened her own brokerage through the franchise – Better Properties Vancouver.
From 2014 to 2017, Angela built her brokerage to ten agents and personal annual sales in excess of $5 million.
While Angela was building her brokerage, Dustin and Kurt opened their own NextHome brokerage. They stayed in contact with Angela and shared information about how their affiliation with NextHome provided the support they needed to their already successful company.
“I have always had a great relationship with Dustin and one of his agents (Debbie Rainforth) and I had a lot of trust in their decision making,” said Angela.
Interested to learn more about NextHome, Angela decided to attend the franchise’s annual conference in San Diego in March 2018.
“It was important for me to experience the franchise for myself,” said Angela. “I wanted to see the leadership team in action and see the tools and systems up close.”
“I found all the attendees to be so supportive and helpful. It was refreshing and I felt like the company had the right people I could see myself in business with,” she added.
“I’ve always wanted to work with Angela,” said Dustin. “She has always been a great leader and is an excellent manager and agent motivator.”
Dustin and Angela describe NextHome NW Realty – Vancouver Branch to be a brokerage that will help local REALTORS® grow and provide pathways to leadership for those interested.
Angela helps more than just buyers and sellers in her community. She volunteers with the organization 100 Women of SW Washington. This group meets four times a year and members nominate local non-profit organizations who they would like to support. The group then raises as much as $20,000 for the selected non-profit. An example of the assistance they provide is when they raised money for David’s Harp, which supports disabled veterans.
When she’s not working, Angela and her husband of six years, Tim, are musicians. She is a blues singer, while Tim plays the bass guitar. They perform at various events throughout the year.
