Pleasanton, CA — July 25, 2016 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome At The Lake. The brokerage represents the 15th office location opened in the state of North Carolina for the NextHome franchise.
Owned and operated by Kelly Myers, he will be joined on the leadership team by Broker In Charge, Dawn McGinn.
Based in Mooresville, NextHome At The Lake will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, luxury, and land deals for the areas of Lake Norman, Mooresville, Troutman, Davidson, Statesville, Huntersville, and all surrounding areas.
Mooresville is located 30 minutes north of Charlotte and is home to approximately 35,000 residents. It’s well known for being the home of many NASCAR racing teams and their drivers. This has caused the city to be titled “Race City USA.”
Kelly has had an extensive career as a business entrepreneur. With successful ventures in restaurant franchises, business investments and real estate portfolio investments, Kelly made the natural progression towards building a real estate brokerage.
Kelly has been around real estate for his entire adult life, as his father has owned various commercial properties and has a portfolio of over 100 rental properties.
Starting his real estate investing in 2000, Kelly has been a successful real estate flipper for more than 18 years. Flipping more than 40 properties, Kelly brings a wealth of experience to NextHome At The Lake. Additionally, he and his real estate construction team have built several custom high-end new construction properties.
In 2017, Kelly was having more and more people he knew asking if he would assist them in buying investment properties. Seeing this as an opportunity, Kelly decided to open his own real estate brokerage.
“I had already taken part in owning a successful sandwich shop franchise, so I knew the value of following a franchise model,” said Kelly. “Within minutes of seeing what NextHome had to offer, I fell in love with the brand and all that it stands for.”
Kelly needed a broker for his brokerage and found Dawn to be the right person for the role. Introduced from a close family friend, Kelly saw Dawn’s 15+ years of real estate experience to be the perfect scenario to have her bring her strong leadership to the company.
NextHome At The Lake has represented quite a few high-profile clients, including one of the most recognized NASCAR drivers in the world, Kurt Busch.
When not selling real estate, Kelly spends time with his family. Kelly and his wife of 12 years, Phoenisa, have two daughters – 10-year-old Phoenix and seven-year-old Piper. The Myers family love spending time out on Lake Norman. Kelly has become synonymous with the lake and is locally known as “Mr. Lake Norman”.
