Pleasanton, CA — April 17, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our latest addition to the franchise, NextHome Pro Realty (Lawrence Branch). This brokerage is the second NextHome Pro Realty location in the state of Kansas for Broker/Owner Owen Freiburger. The office also represents the fifth office in Kansas for the NextHome franchise.
The brokerage will provide various services such as residential real estate, commercial real estate sales, land sales, and ranch sales to the communities of Lawrence, Eudora, Baldwin City, Lecompton, Big Springs, Clinton, Hesper, and the remainder of Douglas County.
Located 40 miles west of Kansas City, Lawrence is home to Kansas University. As one of the most prominent college basketball programs in NCAA history, many local jobs are tied closely to the university.
Opening NextHome Pro Realty in Salina in late 2016, Freiburger had one of his most successful years in over two decades in real estate. He felt Spring 2018 was a perfect time to expand into the Lawrence area. The vibrant city is seeing an increase in population as well as economic development.
Licensed since 1995, Freiburger’s history in real estate started with selling specialized residential developments for Regional Retirement Centers, Inc. These land developments were specifically created to provide affordable housing to the elderly and low-income families. Passionate about providing opportunity to those in need, Freiburger traveled extensively for the company to open and manage new developments in areas such as Kansas, New Mexico, and Colorado.
After getting his broker’s license in 1997, Freiburger became the managing broker for Homeland Real Estate. He led the successful office for several years before relocating to Salina.
His first year of Salina-area sales started off strong, resulting in Freiburger being awarded Rookie of the Year by the Salina Board of REALTORS®. In 2015, Freiburger was honored by the Board as their REALTOR® of the Year.
As his sales continued to increase year-over-year, Freiburger wanted to open his own brokerage. In early 2016, he pursued that opportunity and looked for a company to partner with and help create a brokerage to better serve the needs of today’s clients.
“As I looked at various real estate franchise models, I really found many of them to be lacking the design and platform connectivity I was looking for,” recalled Freiburger.
Originally found through a Google search, it was his research of the NextHome franchise that peaked his interest.
“NextHome’s technology is world-class and the paperless platforms offered by the franchise were very impressive,” said Freiburger. “I am environmentally conscious, so anything that reduces our carbon footprint, I am interested in doing.”
“After talking with (NextHome’s Vice President of Sales) Charis Moreno, I knew NextHome was the company I wanted to align my new brokerage with,” added Freiburger. “I’m currently the Vice President of the Salina Multiple Listing Service, so being at the forefront of technology is important to me. NextHome provides that for my brokerage.”
While committed to his business and his clientele, Freiburger still makes time for Salina community service and causes he is passionate about.
Freiburger has served as the chairman for the Salina City Planning Commission, which is responsible for reviewing all residential and commercial development plans in the city. In addition, he is also the liaison for the Salina Zoning Board of Appeals.
Freiburger is very involved in local organizations, such as the United Way, the North Salina Community Development Group, and various art programs. An accomplished musician, Freiburger plays the organ at his church.
Please join us in congratulating Owen and the rest of the team at NextHome Pro Realty on the opening of their second office!
