Pleasanton, CA — April 5, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Overflow Realty Group. The brokerage represents the 12th location opened in the state of North Carolina for the NextHome franchise.
Based in Pineville, the company will be owned and operated by real estate broker Anyiesa (AJ) Johnson. Her brokerage will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, luxury, multi-family properties, land sales, and commercial tenant representation services to the North Carolina communities of Union, Gaston, Cabarrus, and Mecklenburg counties. The brokerage will also service areas on the South Carolina side in York and Lancaster counties.
Located 15 miles south of Charlotte, Pineville is a suburban town of nearly 8,000 residents.
AJ started her real estate career in 2005 in St. Louis, Missouri. During her first two years of selling real estate, she worked for two firms – Prudential Properties and William French Buyers Agency.
In 2007, she relocated to Northwest Arkansas with her husband, Reginald. As a labor employment attorney, Reginald represents large companies such as Tyson Foods, Family Dollar, and Signet Jewelers.
After settling down in Arkansas, AJ began working as a commercial property manager with Colliers International.
When the couple had to relocate again in 2010, they moved to Charlotte, NC. AJ continued on as a commercial property manager – this time with Lincoln Harris Commercial.
After five years in North Carolina working exclusively with commercial clients, AJ diversified her services in 2015 by offering residential real estate representation. A year later, she opened her residential brokerage Overflow Realty.
2017 was a successful year in residential real estate, as AJ hit her career high in both transactions closed and volume sold. With a new focus in adding talented agents to her brokerage, she looked to find a real estate franchise that best suited her needs as a broker.
“I originally wasn’t thinking about franchising,” recalled AJ. “But after seeing what NextHome could offer – branding, technology, and marketing all packaged in an affordable way – I was sold on the company.”
AJ describes her vision for NextHome Overflow Realty Group as a company with “quality agents with a heart to serve that build relationships where selling the home is a byproduct of the service.”
When not selling real estate, AJ volunteers time for the Parent-Teacher-Student Organization (PTSO) at Cuthbertson High School Executive Board, where she serves as Secretary for the organization.
The Johnsons have been married for 23 years and have two children – daughter Reana (age 19) who is a student at the University of North Carolina and son Ryan (18) who attends the University of Findlay in Ohio.
The couple love to travel and have plans to visit Italy and the South Caribbean before the end of 2018.
