Pleasanton, CA — March 22, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Salty Dog Realty. The brokerage represents the 38th location opened in the state of Florida for the NextHome franchise.
Based in Merritt Island, the company will be owned and operated by longtime friends and business partners, Fran Freeman and Elizabeth Johnson.
The brokerage will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, luxury, condos, relocation, second home, vacation home, and waterfront property services to the communities of Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach, Cocoa, Rockledge, Melbourne, Satellite Beach, and the remainder of Brevard County.
Merritt Island is located about one hour east of Orlando and is home to more than 34,000 residents.
Freeman and Johnson have known each other for nearly eleven years. Meeting in 2007, their children went to the same preschool.
In 2010, Johnson’s son started school and she decided to apply her background in interior design in a career that allowed her to be an involved parent. After getting her real estate license, she started with a local franchised real estate office in Cocoa Beach.
In 2013, Freeman got her real estate license as well. Even though she started her real estate career with a different brokerage, she made the move to Johnson’s company in 2016.
Both women enjoyed success selling real estate as individual agents, but found working side-by-side not only beneficial to their businesses, but enjoyable too.
“Liz is a great listing agent,” said Freeman. “Watching her work with clients, it really is something special seeing her help families. The trust I have with her comes from a longtime friendship and watching her build an amazing real estate business.”
“Fran has been not only a great friend, but the organized and thorough way she handles her clients really makes her a stand out REALTOR®,” said Johnson. “She’s the perfect person for me to partner with.”
Johnson always had the intention to be a broker. A friend told her about the NextHome franchise and after some research, Johnson and Freeman made the decision to open their own brokerage under the NextHome brand.
“After making the decision to go with NextHome, the trip to California to train at the NextHome Corporate office sealed the deal for us,” recalled Johnson. “Everyone we met was that genuine, caring group of people that we had heard about. We knew we were with the right company.”
Johnson and Freeman will be focused on building their brokerage with career-oriented REALTORS® who want to create business through solid customer relationships.
“We want all of our agents to make each and every customer feel special and that they will be taken care of by someone who is looking out for them,” said Freeman.
When not selling real estate, Freeman and Johnson are all about family.
Johnson and her husband, Erik, have been together for 28 years and married for 13 of those years. They have a 13-year old son, Gage, and the family enjoys going out to the lake on the boat with their two pug dogs.
Freeman has been married for 25 years to her husband, Roy. They have two children – 19-year old son Dylan and 14-year old daughter Raina. The family loves to travel and recently went on a Mediterranean Cruise.
Please join us in congratulating Liz, Fran and the rest of the team at NextHome Salty Dog Realty on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in Merritt Island, FL!
