Pleasanton, CA— February 23, 2016 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome White Sands. The brokerage represents the 11th NextHome franchisee in the state of Florida.
Owned and operated by one of the top producing real estate brokers in the entire state of Florida, David Connart, the Destin-based office will provide residential real estate services to the areas of Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach (30-A Area), Panama City Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Shalimar, Navarre, Crestview, and the remainder of the Emerald Coast. In addition to retail residential real estate, the brokerage will also help clients with commercial properties, foreclosure sales (REO), short sales, luxury homes, and investment properties.
Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Connart graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate from the University of Mississippi. Shortly after graduation, Connart moved to Destin, FL and started his sales career. As a second generation REALTOR®, Connart started his interest in real estate after watching his mother, Susie Kirkland, selling homes when he was a kid. In 2016, Kirkland still sells real estate – now in her 46th year.
Connart’s first year of real estate started in 1990 at Coldwell Banker Deep South in Destin, where he won Rookie of the Year after an exceptional first year in the business.
Just two years later, Connart was offered the opportunity to represent five developers and list all of their new homes for sale. He moved his team to White Sands Realty where his focus of subdivision development, along with a strong listing portfolio had Connart becoming one of the premier agents in his market.
From 2000-2010, Connart had the most volume sold by any agent in his market. Over his illustrious career, he has sold over $400,000,000 in real estate properties.
“In my 25 years in real estate, I can genuinely say that I have a passion for helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs,” said Connart.
After nearly 25 years of successfully operating White Sands Realty, owner Frank Rushing made the decision to retire in early 2016. Connart was the natural choice to step in and take over the office.
The office’s incredible production ranked the company 29th out of 621 real estate brokerages in the surrounding area. In 2015 alone, the 14-agent brokerage sold over $60,000,000 in sales volume with over 350 transactions closed.
Taking over a successful office presented its own set of challenges, and he turned to his business coach for advice.
“My business coach suggested that I check out a company called NextHome,” recalled Connart. “I had never heard of the company, but I did reach out and speak with (NextHome’s Vice President of Sales) Charis Moreno. What was originally scheduled to be a one-hour call, turned into a three-hour discussion as I had question after question. Ultimately, I realized NextHome was the right answer for all that we needed to adapt to today’s consumer-centric market.”
“For our customers, I wanted to have an opportunity to get them the information they need, in the way that they want to receive it, in order to make a great real estate decision,” added Connart.
Connart and his wife of 24 years, Allison, have two children – their son Henry (18 years old) and their daughter Sophie (15). The family enjoys boating, kite boarding, spending time at the beach, and traveling to Colorado.
