Pleasanton, CA — October 6, 2023 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome NoCo Realty, serving clients throughout Northern Colorado. The brokerage joins the growing NextHome franchise that currently has 608 active office locations across the country.
Conveniently located in Fort Collins, NextHome NoCo Realty serves buyers and sellers throughout Fort Collins, Timnath, Loveland, Windsor, and Wellington and offers expertise in all types of residential real estate.
NextHome NoCo Realty is owned by Paul Herman, who will also serve as the office’s Broker of Record. Paul is a development and new home construction professional who has spent almost two decades helping to create the communities that people call home.
“I feel a wonderful sense of pride when I drive through neighborhoods that years ago were empty land,” Paul said. “When you get to see families chatting with neighbors, swing sets in yards, and kids playing – that’s when I feel the most pride in being a real estate development professional.”
Paul has been a licensed real estate broker since 2008. Throughout the years, he has built a reputation for excellence in residential homebuilding, project management, land acquisition, entitlements, and community development.
Prior to moving to the Fort Collins area in 2018, Paul was the operations and development manager for The Preserve at Emerald Hills, a boutique semi-custom home community in Hollywood, Florida. Paul was also the owner and managing broker for the in-house sales company: The Preserve at Emerald Hills Real Estate LLC. Most recently, Paul was a community development manager at Denver-based Thrive Home Builders – a company known as one of the most innovative, energy-efficient, healthy home builders in the country.
In addition to this on-the-ground experience, Paul offers clients an unparalleled educational background. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management in addition to a Masters Degree in Real Estate & Urban Development. Paul is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited, with a Building Design and Construction designation from the United States Green Building Council. These achievements mean that Paul’s clients have access to the most cutting-edge green and sustainable building practices in the nation.
“I am so happy to be able to offer my clients an unparalleled depth of knowledge about their future home and community,” Paul said.
Paul began looking into real estate franchising as a way to offer this expertise to more buyers and sellers.
“I was seeking a partner that could help support my business and ultimately my goal to better serve clients and to raise the bar in the residential real estate market,” Paul said.
That’s when Paul discovered NextHome.
“I want my brokerage to be a welcoming, supportive home for experienced and enthusiastic agents – not just a place where someone hangs their license,” Paul said. “NextHome’s business model offered an emphasis on quality over quantity and putting humans over houses. I knew this was the right franchise for me.”
Today, NextHome NoCo Realty is elevating client-centered service in the Northern Colorado area.
“NextHome has great back-end systems that not only support the agents, but also the brokerage owners,” Paul said. “This support allows me to create a small office, with a boutique feel where no individual is ever too busy to fully serve a client.”
NextHome NoCo Realty is also built on the idea that real estate technology should empower clients and associates to build strong relationships.

Paul’s continued dedication to local infrastructure and community building extends into his volunteer work. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the City of Fort Collins Water Commission.
Paul and his wife are the proud parents of two children. The family enjoys spending time with their two adopted rescue dogs, mountain biking, paddle boarding, and exploring the great outdoors in Northern Colorado.
Outside of the office, Paul proudly supports his wife in her work as a professor of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. Go Rams!
