Pleasanton, CA — January 26, 2023 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Centurion Realty, located in San Angelo, Texas. The brokerage joins the growing NextHome franchise that currently has 612 active office locations across the country.
Located three hours northwest of San Antonio, in the heart of West Texas, NextHome Centurion Realty serves clients throughout San Angelo and the remainder of the Concho Valley.
NextHome Centurion Realty is the second Texas-based brokerage for owners George and Debra Kawaja. The husband-and-wife team launched NextHome Centurion Realty’s Houston office first, but Debra also wanted to expand NextHome’s unparalleled real estate services to her hometown.
Born and raised in San Angelo, Debra’s family has been a part of this community for four generations.
“San Angelo locals are quality people who have deep roots in the community,” George said. “Home and family is really important and we know that NextHome Centurion Realty can offer exceptional residential real estate experiences as people buy or sell these properties that are such an important part of their family story.”
In addition to a strong connection to the community, George and Debra also offer clients almost 60 years of combined Texas real estate experience.
A Houston native, George has been a licensed real estate associate since 1979. He obtained his broker’s license in 1988 and went on to work with new home and commercial real estate developers. For more than 40 years, George has overseen his own construction and development ventures. George bought and sold lots, helped grow many of the region’s most well-known housing developments, and built a thriving referral-based business.
“We are well versed in the new home business, investment property, and raw land for development,” George said. “As an experienced consultant, there are very few things that I haven’t seen or walked clients through. With that construction foundation, my goal is to help clients navigate new builds, or educate them on the important things to know about an older home.”
Debra joined George in the real estate brokerage industry in 2006, becoming a licensed agent, after a long career in corporate accounting and payroll administration.
“For years, I was helping out George with the accounting portion of the various projects he was working on,” Debra said. “I was so involved in the business already, it just made sense for me to get my real estate license. Since then, we’ve always worked together on investment properties and flips for clients, in addition to new and used home sales.”
“Debra managed a lot of properties and helped a lot of people flip and do it profitably,” George added. “She has a talent for helping people properly fix up a home and make a return on their investment.”
Debra also used her talents to mentor other associates, often giving presentations to developer’s sales teams and creating frameworks for their success.
Earlier this year, an orange NextHome sale sign on a local property caught Debra’s attention. That eye-catching marketing led Debra to look closer at NextHome and she soon discovered a remarkable suite of tools, technology, and support.
“Those signs are unique and they stand out,” Debra said. “The Frenchie Dog mascot Luke was also really memorable as we also have two Frenchies. I looked more into the financials, the technology and tools this company offered, and everything looked great.”
As NextHome Centurion Realty continues to grow, George and Debra remain dedicated to their clients.
“We are an information-driven brokerage that will always give the best possible guidance so our clients can make an informed decision,” George said. “We communicate, we are accessible, and we care about our clients and how this decision impacts their lives. Buying or selling, our focus will always be on putting humans over houses.”
