Kansas’s top transactions agent opens NextHome office

Kansas’s top transactions agent opens NextHome office

Mary Froese

Pleasanton, CA — November 19, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Professionals. The brokerage represents the 10th office opened in the state of Kansas for the NextHome franchise.

The Topeka-based office is owned by Mary Froese (frāz). Mary is leading the area’s brightest independent agents as they bring NextHome’s unique blend of technology and personalized service to Topeka and surrounding counties.

NextHome Professionals will serve buyers and sellers across Shawnee, Osage, Wabaunsee, Jefferson, Douglass, Geary, and Jackson county.

Mary has spent many years building unparalleled expertise in residential sales, foreclosures, and commercial properties. NextHome Professionals agents are also experienced in relocations and investment properties.

Mary’s remarkable career in Midwest real estate began in 2007, after she sold her mortgage company to Wells Fargo.

“After almost a decade in the mortgage business, I loved real estate,” Mary said. “When my company sold, I decided it was time to get on the other side of the table.”

Mary’s mortgage company operated 11 offices in nine different states, meaning her first job as a new agent was to build a strong Topeka reputation. Her entry into real estate also coincided with the worst downturn American home buying had experienced in decades. Nonetheless, through hard work, follow-through, and packing her weekends with open houses, Mary closed 96 transactions her first year.

“In that first year, I wanted to learn how to do all things real estate – the paperwork, process, transactions, inspections, contracts, all of it. I also wanted to learn how to do it really well,” Mary said.

After thoroughly mastering the foundations of real estate, Mary’s second year focused on foreclosures.

“Foreclosures were very common at the time, so I focused on building unparalleled skills in that arena,” Mary said.

In her third year as an agent, Mary became known as an investment real estate expert. By focussing on one area of expertise at a time, Mary climbed to the pinnacle of her profession.

“Although it required me to turn down business, I didn’t want to take the shotgun approach,” Mary said. “I only said yes to the things I knew I would be able to deliver superior value on. I wanted to build a really strong reputation, and do the best job possible. That was the focus that allowed me to grow.”

After four years of building a reputation as Kansas’s premier agent, Mary had the opportunity to buy the nationally franchised real estate office she worked for. In 2012, alongside a business partner, Mary added brokerage ownership to her skillset.

In the following years, Mary built the number one selling team in the state based on transactions – a distinction the team held for many years. Alongside six agents, The Froese Team closed 784 transactions at their peak.

“I think my work ethic came from growing up on a farm,” Mary said. “I have a big family, all brothers, no sisters. My dad stressed hard work, being nice, and doing the right thing. I’ve always run my business not necessarily based on how I would want to be treated, but how I would want others to treat my parents or my children.”

Mary’s success is built on a foundation of integrity.

“I believe in doing the right thing, always. Even if you feel like you are losing at the time, if you do the right thing, it always works out in the end,” Mary said.

As the real estate market in the Midwest continued to evolve, Mary knew she needed a company that could support her thriving, values-driven business with cutting-edge technology and marketing. That’s when she found NextHome.

“Today’s market is increasingly driven by technology,” Mary said. “In addition to ethical treatment, clients increasingly want the ease, comfort, and immediacy available from the tap of a smartphone or the click of a mouse.”

Mary saw how NextHome’s business was the perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and old-fashioned values.

“With NextHome, everything is set up so smoothly for agents, brokers and owners,” Mary said. “We put a listing in and within 24 hours we have the marketing package at our fingertips. The superior tools take care of everything, allowing our agents to focus on great customer service.”

When she isn’t building her business, Mary is a voracious reader – consuming about three to four books per week. She is also active with her local community and takes an active role in the neighborhood stabilization programs across Topeka.

Mary and her husband Gary have fostered children, instilling in the family a passion for helping those who need a little extra support and help. NextHome Professionals has teamed up with Communities in America, an organization that works with youth. The office has hosted fundraisers and gathered school supplies for the organization – a partnership they hope to continue well into the future.

Mary and Gary are the proud parents of four children – many following their mother into the real estate business. Seth (30) has been working with his mother as a REALTOR® for eight years. Holly (27) helps with administrative tasks at the office. Cody (26) works in real estate remodeling and owns a lawn care business. Katie (24) also has her real estate license and recently moved to Iowa.

As a family, they love to vacation together, cook family dinners, and play spirited card games.

Please join us in congratulating Mary on the opening of NextHome Professionals in Topeka, Kansas!

NextHome expands in the Houston area

NextHome expands in the Houston area

Chantell Hypolite & Kenneth Gabriel

Pleasanton, CA — November 7th, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Realty Executives. The brokerage represents the 26th office location opened in Texas for the NextHome franchise and the eighth office location in the greater Houston area.

NextHome Realty Executives is led by former City Planner Chantell Hypolite and her partner Kenneth Gabriel. Together with her team of top-notch agents, Chantell serves residential buyers and sellers across Houston. Her areas of expertise also extend to the suburbs, serving clients in Richmond, Sugar Land, Katy, and Spring.

Chantell began her career as a City Planner in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, after obtaining her Master’s Degree in Urban Development and Environmental Policy with a Specialization in Housing & Community Development. Chantell has also been a City Planner in League City, Texas. For four years, Chantell specialized in housing and community development. Her days were filled with writing ordinances, considering zoning regulations, and mulling over the best way to use League City land resources.

“I just naturally fell into the real estate side of things,” Chantell said.

Her evolution to real estate began with a job performing site acquisitions for cell phone towers.

“The site acquisition agent I was working with said he was really impressed with my knowledge and how easy I was to work with,” Chantell recalled. “He recruited me and soon I was finding properties to build cell towers on all across Houston, as well as into the valley, all the way to Mexico border towns.”

Chantell began negotiating land leases for the cell towers, resulting in the company paying for her to get her real estate license. In a matter of weeks, the sharp city planner had her license and a new career path.

In 2018, after two years of negotiating land leases, Chantell dove into real estate sales full-time.  She was recruited through mutual friends to the RE/MAX Allstars brokerage based out of Cypress. Chantell worked with the brokerage for two and a half years where her resourcefulness and drive helped her build a successful career in real estate. Chantell then began working for a small boutique brokerage, Sky Real Estate Professionals, where she remained for another two years.

Eventually, Chantell’s drive for constant improvement and innovation sparked her interest in opening her own brokerage.

One evening, she was at a continuing education class and began picking the brain of a well-established broker in the area.

“This woman had owned her own brokerage for 10-15 years and I really respected her,” Chantell recalled. “She said, ‘You know, I think you might want to look at NextHome. If I had to do it again, I would open a NextHome franchise.’ I reached out to NextHome and the rest is history.”

Chantell was impressed with the members and leadership team she met at NextHome and how friendly everyone was.

“My first thought was, ‘Are these people real?’ It was just a different environment,” Chantell said. “People were so nice. Kindness and treating people with respect is a differentiating factor in business and NextHome does it so well.”

Today, Chantell is blending her real estate expertise with NextHome’s suite of top-level tools to bring quality service to Houston homebuyers.

“They can expect to have their needs put before our commissions,” Chantell said about what NextHome Realty Executives clients can expect. “We give world-class service. We are going to answer the phone, be available, and communicate often. If you have a property under contract, we will send daily updates as needed. You are never going to wonder where you are or what is going on in the process.”

Chantell is very active in her community, especially in serving Houston’s homeless and needy. NextHome Realty Executives is sponsoring a garden bed at the Blodgett Community Garden. Sponsors grow, tend, and cultivate the food grown there and then the fresh fruits and vegetables are available to residents across Houston’s Third Ward.

In addition, Chantell volunteers with The Bag Ladies Organization. The group gathers feminine hygiene supplies and distributes kits to local homeless women. Chantell continues to put her city planning skills to great use with the area’s homeless coalition.

“We identified through GIS mapping where resources were available for the homeless,” Chantell said. “Then we look for duplications or areas where resources are lacking and make suggestions.”

She is also an active member of the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church where she serves on the Courtesy Corp leadership team.

Chantell is the proud mother of Carter (7) and the family recently welcomed Lilly (16) into their home. She is also the proud dog mom of a Yorkie Jase and a Lab mix rescue Cooper.

When Chantell isn’t helping clients and her community, she enjoys riding bikes, DIY projects, and visiting the zoo with her family.

Please join us in congratulating Chantell and her team on the opening of NextHome Realty Executives in Houston, Texas!

NextHome The Boulevard opens in Michigan

NextHome The Boulevard opens in Michigan

Michael T. Moore and Melissa Acton

Pleasanton, CA — October 22, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce the newest addition to the franchise, NextHome The Boulevard. Based in Rochester, the new brokerage represents the 15th NextHome franchised office opened in the state of Michigan.

The Boulevard is led by experienced local agents Michael T. Moore and Melissa Acton. Mike will be the broker of record and Melissa will be the associate broker.

Located in Rochester, NextHome The Boulevard’s team will serve residential buyers and sellers across Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, Auburn Hills, Shelby, Utica, Royal Oak, Troy, Ferndale, and the remainder of Oakland and Macomb counties.

Mike, Melissa, and the team are happy to help with all types of residential transactions.

“I’ve had an obsession with real estate since I was a little girl,” Melissa said. “My dad was a builder and whenever he would bring home blueprints, I would get so excited.”

Melissa remembers her family laughing at her wide-eyed excitement whenever she saw new real estate listings.

Melissa spent the early years of her career in corporate America. However, the birth of her twins in 2011 gave her the push she needed to change her career’s course.

As infants, Melissa’s twins endured many interventions. The time commitment required for these therapies meant Melissa needed more flexibility from her work.

“I had to reinvent myself,” Melissa said. “I suddenly had an opportunity to go after a career that interested me and would provide the flexibility I needed because of the situation with my kids.”

Melissa obtained her real estate license and began working as a buyer agent with Keller Williams. Melissa became the friendly face clients would interact with.

In the fall of 2016, Melissa’s twins started kindergarten and she discovered that one of her sons had a learning disability.

“I took a year off to focus on making sure my kids were my first priority,” Melissa said.

When she returned to real estate in 2017, she met Mike.

Before his career in real estate, Mike spent 11 years as a regional safety director at FedEx. During those years, much of Mike’s time was spent traveling and he missed his family. When the company restructured and taking a buyout became an option, Mike was happy for the opportunity.

“Suddenly, I got to choose what I wanted to do for a living and I had always wanted to pursue real estate,” Mike said.

As he reestablished a great work-life balance, Mike got his real estate license and began working for a small, boutique firm. After two years with that company, Mike got an offer from a bigger brokerage in town.

“It just seemed like a natural next step,” Mike said.

Mike spent the next two years with the large brokerage, where he found great success. Mike became one of the top five producing agents within the first year out of a firm of 400. Mike remained one of the company’s top five producing agents his entire time there and was the second top producing agent two years running.

His success and sales volume set him apart in area real estate, so when Melissa was looking to jump back into the industry, she cold called Mike to see if she could join his team.

“Having someone who could take clients for me and be a right-hand person was just what I needed at that time,” Mike said. “My wife and I were expecting another child at the time and Melissa’s cold call could not have been timed better.”

As Melissa and Mike began working together, they found that their skills complemented one another, and they were able to establish a productive partnership.

That partnership, and the success it generated, prompted Melissa and Mike to talk about opening their own brokerage.

“We saw things that could be done differently,” Mike recalled. “We had this desire to differentiate ourselves and fill a regional need for flexible, fun, and ethics-driven real estate services.”

The search for the right franchised brokerage began and stumbled across NextHome.

“Our first call with NextHome was really good,” Mike said. “When we crunched the numbers on starting our own brokerage from scratch, the cost difference was so significant that going with NextHome didn’t even seem like a question. It was far and away the best business decision.”

However, it wasn’t just the numbers that made NextHome a good fit for Melissa and Mike.

“It is so nice to have peers to connect with, as well as a corporate leadership team that holds the torch and leads the way in what sometimes feels like a dark tunnel when starting a business,” Melissa said.

As Mike and Melissa continue to lay the foundation for their brokerage, they hope to build a team that refuses to over-promise and under-deliver.

“Unfortunately, that’s very common in our industry and it doesn’t do anyone any good,” Mike said.

Melissa added, “We work with an honest approach. We are bringing agents aboard who are of that mindset and who have experience.”

At NextHome The Boulevard, that honesty and knowledge also come with a healthy dose of fun.

“We want work to be fun,” Mike said. “We want our clients to enjoy this experience that is commonly very stressful. It’s the most expensive purchase most people make, so we want to make the process as seamless as possible. I want clients and agents to know that I take my business seriously, but I don’t take myself too seriously.”

When he isn’t helping clients and agents, Mike enjoys working out, spending time on Lake Cass, and enjoying the great outdoors. Alongside Erica, his wife of 12 years, Mike has two sons, Dylan (11) and Maverick (2).

Melissa and her husband Chris Ralph are the proud parents of twin eight-year-old boys, Griffin and Everett. Outside of selling real estate, Melissa enjoys traveling with her family and basking in the beautiful ruckus of her neighborhood full of kids.

Please join us in congratulating Mike, Melissa, and their team on the opening of NextHome The Boulevard in Rochester, Michigan!

Skyrocketing success prompts NextHome Freitas Realty Group expansion

Skyrocketing success prompts NextHome Freitas Realty Group expansion

Livia Freitas Monteforte

Pleasanton, CA — October 17, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce the expansion of NextHome Freitas Realty Group. Lead by owner Livia Freitas Monteforte, the new office in Falmouth, Massachusetts will serve clients across Cape Cod. NextHome Freitas Realty Group’s expansion represents the sixth office opened in Massachusetts for the franchise.

“As we grow, we want people to know that we will be present where our buyers and sellers are,” Livia said. “We want anyone in the Cape Cod area to know that we are a luxury, boutique real estate firm that makes real estate fun and modern. More than that, we are able to supply people with the help they need wherever they are on The Cape.”

The new office is located in historic downtown Falmouth, a stunning area peppered with picturesque storefronts where locals and vacationers meander throughout all four seasons.

“We are pretty excited to be able to expand our location to another major hub,” Livia said.

NextHome Freitas Realty Group will provide residential real estate sales services to the entire Cape Cod area including Falmouth, Barnstable, Woods Hole, Chatham, Bourne, Brewster, Sandwich, Mashpee, Yarmouth, Dennis, and the remainder of the Cape Cod area – commonly known as “The Cape”.

Livia opened the doors to her first Mashpee-based NextHome brokerage in October 2015. Since then, her team has grown to 18 agents (and counting) whose superior service has made NextHome Freitas Realty Group a well-known name in Cape Cod real estate.

“We offer a really fresh take on real estate and we know that Cape Cod homeowners (and future homeowners) are going to be happy with what we bring to the table,” Livia said.

Licensed since 1999, Livia began her sales career at Kinlin Grover Real Estate, a regional boutique brokerage. As a self-starter, she was able to quickly and efficiently set herself apart from the rest of the local real estate community by focusing on the customer service experience.

In 2003, Livia made the move to a franchised brokerage in order to start building a team to assist with her growing business. While she continued building her business, she was forced to purchase many of the tools and systems she needed to streamline her team’s work. Realizing a strong need to improve the way real estate was conducted on Cape Cod, Livia decided it was time for a change.

Instead of looking for a new company to affiliate with, Livia knew she could create the superior standards she expected out of a brokerage by opening her own company – and that’s exactly what she did.

In 2005, she opened Freitas Realty Group. Her passion for creating a brokerage that featured tech-savvy agents who were passionate about helping people with their real estate purchase or sale of their home was infused into the business. Agents loved the atmosphere, and Livia and her husband James grew the brokerage to 11 agents. Known in the community as “executive agents,” her team provided first-class service coupled with a high level of technology and transaction management to make the transaction as smooth as possible.

“I wanted to be the client-centric real estate brokerage that was the breath of fresh air our community was missing,” Livia said.

From 2011 to 2015, Livia never let up on driving the leads to the brokerage. This resulted in an incredible 30% increase in their company’s closed sales business for four consecutive years. In 2015, her brokerage exceeded $20,000,000 in sales volume – a huge indicator of the local community’s trust in her boutique firm.

Livia continued to stay at the forefront of new and innovative real estate technology, but often found herself vetting and spending countless hours making sure the products were the best for her agents.

Enter NextHome.

“I was days away from signing with a familiar national brand when I randomly Googled ‘Luxury Real Estate Franchise’,” recalled Livia. “That’s when I found NextHome. The company provides the brokers of today with the tools necessary to get out of the weeds and back to focusing on the customers.”

“From the moment I connected with Livia, I could sense her passion for real estate and helping people buy or sell a home,” said NextHome’s Vice President of Sales, Charis Moreno. “As a mother, I could relate to Livia on many different levels including how she handles her responsibilities as a business owner and her two daughters. The partnership with NextHome allows them to focus on their business growth and recruitment of new talent, while the NextHome franchise joins forces with one of the top brokerages in one of the most prestigious markets in the United States.”

When not selling real estate, Livia and James enjoy spending time with their two daughters, Dolce and Capri.

Please join us in congratulating Livia, James, and their team at NextHome Freitas Realty Group on their ever-expanding success!

The NextHome franchise continues expansion in Arkansas

The NextHome franchise continues expansion in Arkansas

Chance Schubert & Patrick Kuhlman

Pleasanton, CA — July 16, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome NWA Pro Realty. The new brokerage represents the second NextHome franchised office opened in the state of Arkansas.

NextHome NWA Pro Realty will be led by broker/owner Chance Schubert who will handle all day-to-day aspects of the company including mentoring, training, and brokerage growth. He will be joined on the leadership team by his business partner, Patrick Kuhlman. Partick will serve as the Team Leader of their real estate sales team. Having known each other for more than 12 years, Chance and Patrick have made a dynamic team and have been top-producing REALTORS® for several years.

Additionally, Mary Taylor will hold the role of “Chief Everything Officer” and will handle all financials and compliance issues for the office.

Based out of Bentonville, the agents of NextHome NWA Pro Realty will service all real estate needs in Northwest Arkansas including Rogers, Centerton, Bella Vista, Springdale, and Fayetteville.

The brokerage will help residents in the local communities with various real estate services such as first-time homebuyers, investors, military veterans, commercial, condos, new construction, and all forms of seller representation.

Bentonville is home to more than 50,000 residents and is known for being the birthplace of Walmart in 1962. It’s located 3.5 hours northwest of Little Rock and is the ninth-largest city in the state.

Before real estate, both Chance and Patrick came from a background in the hospitality industry. Chance was introduced to real estate and got his license in 2012 after helping Patrick’s mother look at homes she wanted to buy. The agent that was helping Patrick’s mother noticed Chance’s keen eye towards real estate and suggested that he look into becoming a REALTOR®.

“After working for a while in the hotel industry, my introduction to real estate as a career came at a welcome time,” said Chance. “Patrick and I were in hospitality and both of us were getting burned out. I made the leap into real estate in 2012, and Patrick joined a year later.”

Chance started with a local franchised brokerage, and in just his second year, he sold more than $3 million in volume – quite a feat considering the average sales price was $140,000 at the time.

After Patrick joined the real estate world and formed a team with Chance in 2013, he brought a completely different niche to the team. By adding new construction builders and foreclosure investors to the mix, he expanded their business to new heights.

In 2014, the team did more than $10 million in volume and has continued growing year-over-year.

In 2018, the six-member team sold more than 130 transactions to the tune of $28.5 million in volume, making them one of the top selling teams in the entire Northwest Arkansas area.

In mid-2018, Chance and Patrick started looking at their expenses and investments of their real estate business and realized they were basically running a small brokerage within their brokerage.

“The way we were running our team was like running our own real estate company,” recalled Chance. “At that point, we started looking at opening our own brokerage, and that’s when we found NextHome.”

“There are 113 real estate offices in our county,” said Patrick. “We needed to stand out with our marketing, brand consistency, and making a real impact in what we could offer our clients. As NextHome NWA Pro Realty, we have definitely achieved that.”

Chance says what makes NextHome NWA Pro Realty different is the consistency of service, the level of professionalism that a client will receive, and that all demographics will be treated fairly and with respect.

“Whether you are buying a $20,000 lot or a million-dollar mansion, our team is ready to serve the needs of our clients and treat them with the respect and professionalism they deserve,” said Chance.

Please join us in congratulating Chance, Patrick, Mary, and the rest of the team at NextHome NWA Pro Realty on the opening of their brand new NextHome brokerage in Bentonville, AR!

NextHome Gadwood Group opens third office location

NextHome Gadwood Group opens third office location

Julie Gadwood

Pleasanton, CA — July 11, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Gadwood Group – Overland Park Branch. The brokerage represents the eighth office location opened in the state of Kansas for the NextHome franchise.

The new Overland Park location will be led by broker/owner Julie Gadwood who will handle all day-to-day operations for the company.

This branch will be the third office location opened by NextHome Gadwood Group, with two office locations already thriving in Shawnee, Kansas and Gravois Mills, Missouri. The opening of the NextHome Gadwood Group in Overland Park will introduce the superior agents of the company to residents of Overland Park, De Soto, Gardner, Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam, Olathe, Prairie Village, Shawnee, and the remainder of Johnson County.

NextHome Gadwood Group agents will provide assistance to buyers and sellers with residential property sales such as first-time home buyers, investors, farms, ranches and land, military and veteran’s assistance, relocation, foreclosures, short sales, and all forms of residential sales of 1-4 units.

Located just 10 miles south of Kansas City, Overland Park is the second most populated city in the state of Kansas with nearly 200,000 residents.

With the growth of business by NextHome Gadwood Group, Julie felt it was the right time to open another location.

“We do a lot of business on the south side of Johnson County,” said Julie. “The Shawnee office grew so quickly that we needed some additional space and having an office in Overland Park was a natural move.”

“This office will give all agents a great place to meet with clients and is going to give us some presence in that area,” she added. “My concept is that it is just another resource to help my agents achieve success. Agents can use both office spaces to meet clients and use as a work area. We haven’t even officially opened the doors yet and have already had some very seasoned and successful agents join us.”

Licensed since 2005, Julie started her real estate career with Coldwell Banker Regan in Shawnee where she worked for six years. She originally intended real estate to be an extra source of income, but after selling five homes in her first six months in the business, Julie realized she had the ability to turn real estate into a viable career.

While she grew her real estate business to see nearly $8 million in sales annually, the most important thing for Julie was that she was able to still spend quality time with her children and not miss any of the important events in their lives.

In 2012, Julie went out on her own and opened Gadwood Group Realty Company Inc.

“I started my own brokerage because I wanted to have a platform and a business that allowed me to put the total focus on the client,” said Julie. “By owning my own company, I was able to have a high level of service and know that our clients would be really taken care of.”

Julie was able to grow the brokerage to over 20 agents and saw the company do more than 125 transactions and over $40 million in a single year.

Additionally, Julie was recently recognized for the tenth year in a row as a 5 Star Award nominee for her outstanding real estate service in her community.

After several successful years as an independent brokerage, it was a random stroke of luck that Julie found NextHome.

“I found out about the franchise during a real estate conference that I attended,” recalled Julie. “Over the years, there were several different franchises we talked to, but none of them really piqued my interest. After years of studying what NextHome was doing and after speaking with (NextHome’s VP of Sales) Charis Moreno, I felt that it was the right time to align my brokerage with NextHome.”

Julie and her agents are excited about the freshness of the company, the consistent branding, and the entire suite of tools and services they now have at NextHome Gadwood Group.

In addition to selling real estate, Julie and her team volunteer time to bettering the real estate industry and providing hope in their community.

As a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® (KCRAR), Julie has actively participated in Habitat for Humanity, where she and her agents have helped rehabilitate homes in her community for those in need.

In 2018, the Gadwood Group were the recipients of the Spirit Award by KCRAR for their service in the community.

The company has also volunteered in the local coat drive and the local Ronald McDonald House organization.

When not selling real estate, Julie and her husband of 27 years (and high school sweetheart) David love to spend time with their three children.

Their eldest, Jake (25), is a graduate of Kansas State University with a focus on Finance Economics. Nick (22) is currently a student at the University of Kansas and is not only an Accounting major but a licensed real estate agent as well. Their youngest, Carney (19), is a sophomore at the University of Kansas and is majoring in Business.

Please join us in congratulating Julie and the rest of the team at NextHome Gadwood Group on their new NextHome office in Overland Park, KS!

NextHome Perkins Realty Group is the newest NextHome franchisee

NextHome Perkins Realty Group is the newest NextHome franchisee

David Perkins

Pleasanton, CA — July 3, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Perkins Realty Group. The new brokerage represents the 26th NextHome franchised office opened in the state of Texas.

NextHome Perkins Realty Group will be led by broker/owner David Perkins. He will handle all day-to-day aspects of the company including mentoring, training, and brokerage growth.

Based out of Longview, the agents of NextHome Perkins Realty Group will handle real estate in the cities of Longview, Kilgore, Hallsville, Diana, Gilmer, and the remainder of Gregg and Upshur Counties.

The brokerage will be helping residents in the local community with various real estate services such as first-time homebuyers, investors, ranches and land, commercial, condos, retirement communities, and all forms of seller representation.

Longview is located about two hours east of Dallas and is home to approximately 85,000 residents. Longview is also known as the home of the Great Texas Balloon Race. Many of the pilots that compete at the Great Texas Balloon Race consider it the best run event on the circuit. The Great Texas Balloon Race dubbed Longview as “The Balloon Capital of Texas” by the Governor of Texas in 1985.

Licensed since 2016, David started his real estate career right out of college. As a graduate of LeTourneau University, his original plan was to go to dental school but was asked by a friend’s mother if he had any interest in real estate. Curiosity struck as David researched all-things real estate, and the rest was history.

David started with a local independent brokerage and in his very first year, he sold more than $2 million in real estate. Building on top of this foundation, David exceeded more than $3 million a year in sales in a market where the average sales price is $187,000.

David credits his success to his commitment to building strong business and personal relationships.

“I played baseball in college, so I have always been active in sports,” said David. “Since graduating, I have stayed active playing tennis and softball. I’ve been able to leverage these events to make friends and business contacts that have really helped me build my real estate business.”

David stays committed to having a genuine interest in helping clients get the very best price from their home and negotiate the very best purchase price when they buy.

In 2017, David started thinking about going out on his own and opening a brokerage, but he knew he didn’t want to do it alone.

“I thought about franchising, but wasn’t thrilled with the options out there,” said David. “Once I found out about NextHome, I loved what I saw and really felt that franchising with NextHome could help me open and run a successful brokerage.”

“The technology we have now at NextHome Perkins Realty Group is unlike anything that is being offered in our market,” added David.

In 2018, David made the leap with the support and encouragement from his sister, Laura. In fact, Laura will be assisting the brokerage with marketing and helping provide listing exposure for sellers.

The NextHome franchise continues expansion in Iowa

The NextHome franchise continues expansion in Iowa

Travis Hiatt

Pleasanton, CA — June 13, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Beyond. The new brokerage represents the fourth NextHome franchised location opened in the state of Iowa.

The company will be owned and operated by top producing REALTOR® Travis Hiatt. Based out of North Liberty, the brokerage will provide real estate services throughout both the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City metropolitan areas. Additionally, NextHome Beyond will serve the residents of Johnson, Cedar, Iowa, Linn, Jones, Louisa, and Washington counties.

North Liberty is directly north of Iowa City and is home to approximately 20,000 residents. Over the past 19 years, North Liberty has been known as the second fastest-growing city in the state of Iowa.

The brokerage will provide various real estate services such as working with first-time homebuyers, investment properties, new construction, ranches and farms, and land lots and parcels.

Travis bought his first house while attending college at the young age of 19. This early entry into real estate inspired him to help others buy and sell homes right after college.

In 2003, he started his career at Skogman Realty in Cedar Rapids. He spent his first years in the business gaining trust with clients using all the traditional methods of real estate – knocking doors, handing out flyers and business cards, and attending community events. While these methods may have seemed simple, they were very effective in helping Travis establish himself in the local market.

In his second year, Travis sold nearly $4 million in volume – a huge accomplishment for a young agent.

In 2007, he made the move to Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors. Working there for nearly ten years, Travis built a business in both the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City markets. In 2011, the owner of the company asked Travis to step in and manage a new office that was expanding into Cedar Rapids.

Two years later, he became the manager for the Coralville office location and led that office for the next five years.

While managing the brokerage, Travis attended the Iowa Association of REALTORS® Convention in 2015 and had a chance to meet NextHome’s Vice President, Imran Poladi, who was the keynote speaker for the event.

“I started researching the company and thinking about how I wanted to one day open my own brokerage,” said Travis. “What NextHome had to offer made me really excited about the possibilities.”

While he ended up leaving Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors, Travis held off opening his own company. He worked at Keller Williams in Cedar Rapids – first as a Team Leader and then as the General Manager for the company. With more than 100 agents at the brokerage, Travis and the leadership team worked hard to make the company one of the top real estate brokerages in the area.

In 2018, after nearly seven years in management, Travis was finally ready to go out on his own. He knew exactly who he wanted to partner with.

“I knew that when it was my time to go out on my own, I wanted to franchise with NextHome,” said Travis.

Travis says that the NextHome Beyond difference is exactly what the company name describes.

“I wanted to name my company NextHome Beyond because I want our company to provide a level of service above and beyond what the client is expecting, as well as providing support and real estate services beyond the buying or selling period,” said Travis.

Travis has a passion for teaching and is a certified Dotloop trainer, helping agents with online transaction management systems and tools.

Outside of work, Travis loves spending time with his nine-year-old daughter, Emersyn. Travis is a huge Chicago Cubs fan and does everything he can to catch a Cubbie game at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Please join us in congratulating Travis and the rest of the team at NextHome Beyond on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in North Liberty, IA!

NextHome Neighbors opens their new office in Texas

NextHome Neighbors opens their new office in Texas

Gonzalo & Amy Egana

Pleasanton, CA — June 12, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Neighbors. With the opening of the new brokerage, the NextHome franchise launches the 25th franchised location in the state of Texas.

The company will be owned and operated by top-producing REALTORS®, and husband and wife team, Gonzalo and Amy Egana. Gonzalo will serve as the broker of record and handle the day to day operations of the company. Amy will be in charge of the company’s marketing, listing inventory, and social media outreach.

The brokerage will provide real estate services throughout the cities of Tyler, Flint, Bullard, Whitehouse, Chandler, Lindale and the remainder of Smith, Cherokee, Henderson, and Wood counties.

Known as the “Rose Capital of the World,” Tyler is located 90 minutes east of Dallas and is home to more than 100,000 residents. The area has a long history of rose production and boasts the largest rose garden in the country.

The brokerage will provide various real estate services such as working with first-time homebuyers, investment properties, relocation, ranches and farms, and land lots and parcels.

The couple has been married for 16 years, and have been business partners since 2012. Their professional backgrounds previous to real estate have served them perfectly.

In 2005, the Eganas began investing in real estate and flipping houses. They had a fondness for buying and selling homes, and upon the suggestion of his father-in-law, Gonzalo took the leap and got into the real estate sales side of the business.

Gonzalo first attained his real estate license in 2007 after a very successful sales career. As the owner of a kitchenware manufacturing business, he was most known for his creation of what many feel is the best manual juicer in existence – the OrangeX Juicer.

During the time that Gonzalo started working in real estate, Amy had a very successful business herself as the owner of Joy Creative Consulting, a marketing consulting firm.

From 2007-2014, Gonzalo worked at RE/MAX in Tyler. During his years at the brokerage, he worked his way up to becoming one of the top five agents in the entire 60+ agent office. As the business grew, Gonzalo saw how Amy could bring a lot of value to the business. With her exceptional marketing skills and eye for detail, she got her real estate license in 2012. With their youngest child going into kindergarten that year, it was perfect timing for the Eganas to partner in real estate.

In 2015, they made a move to a smaller brokerage, WP & Company.

“We really liked being a part of a smaller office with a culture of having that family feeling,” said Amy.

In 2018, the couple sold more than $15 million in volume. An incredibly impressive number with the average home sale at $250,000.

With more than 10 years in the real estate business, they felt it was time to go out on their own and open a brokerage. In 2018, they turned to a real estate friend and learned about NextHome.

“We connected with Ben Andrews through Brian Buffini Coaching” said Gonzalo. “As the owner of a NextHome franchised location, he told us a lot about the positive benefits when he converted his brokerage to NextHome. The more we saw, the more we liked.”

“The branding and signage was unique and different,” added Amy. “Having that brand consistency meant a lot to me and spoke to a higher standard of marketing that often goes missing in today’s real estate.”

Gonzalo and Amy are proud to say that NextHome Neighbors will stand out from other local brokerages by focusing on building a company with career-oriented agents who not only want to grow professionally, but personally as well.

“In my experience, most brands develop a story that makes them the hero,” said Amy. “Companies that truly succeed make the customers the hero. We want to be that kind of company.”

The Eganas have three children – Isabella (age 14), Alex (13), and Sophia (10).

Please join us in congratulating Gonzalo, Amy, and the rest of the team at NextHome Neighbors on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in Tyler, TX!

NextHome HomeFront opens in Mississippi

NextHome HomeFront opens in Mississippi

Crystal Boggs & Bobby Wantland

Pleasanton, CA — June 7, 2019 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome HomeFront. The new brokerage is the fourth NextHome franchise location opened in the state of Mississippi.

NextHome HomeFront will be owned and operated by top-producing REALTOR® Crystal Boggs. The brokerage will service the cities of Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Gulfport, D’Iberville, and the remainder of Jackson and Harrison Counties.

The brokerage will provide various real estate services for the local community such as working with first-time homebuyers, investment properties, vacation and second homes, multi-family properties, land and lots, and military family relocation. Crystal says more than half of NextHome HomeFront’s business involves military housing.

Crystal will have another top-producing REALTOR® serve as the company’s broker of record. Bobby Wantland brings years of experience to NextHome HomeFront and Crystal is happy to be in business with him.

“Bobby brings a lot of experience and I really love how he builds relationships with people,” said Crystal. “He’s been like a big brother to me and I am so happy to have him be a part of this journey.”

“I never thought I would want to work in a partnership format,” said Bobby with a laugh. “But I couldn’t pass up a chance of working with Crystal. She has a great heart, she is always wanting to grow personally and professionally, she is totally selfless… why wouldn’t I want to be in business with her?”

After selling off her very successful party rental business, Biloxi Bounce House, which did more than 1,000 rentals annually, Crystal decided to go into real estate. Her interest in becoming a real estate agent sparked from the positive experience that she and her husband, Bryan, had with their REALTOR® – Bobby.

Crystal first became licensed in real estate in 2016 and started with Keller Williams Realty.

While she spent most of the first year learning the marketing and prospecting side of real estate, that paid off just a few months into her second year in the business. Within the last three months of 2017, she sold over $1 million in real estate – an incredible number considering the local average home sales price at that time was just under $140,000.

Crystal made the move to a local NextHome franchised office where Bobby was working. That move paid off and in 2018, she sold 24 homes with more than $5 million in total sales volume.

In late 2018, Crystal felt it was the right time to open her own brokerage. As the previous owner of a successful business prior to real estate, her experience and track record gave her the confidence to open NextHome HomeFront.

“NextHome HomeFront will be a boutique brokerage company where the agents will be treated like family,” said Crystal. “That will allow them to connect with the ownership/leadership team and know they will be heard and treated with respect.”

In 2019, Crystal was honored with one of the most esteemed awards a military spouse can receive – Armed Forces Insurance Keesler Military Spouse of The Year.

The Boggs’ have been married for 17 years and are the proud parents of Mecquela (age 15) and Bryanna (13). The family enjoys all types of outdoor activities including four-wheeling, fishing, and crabbing. They also love to travel and visited Germany, England, and France last year.

Please join us in congratulating Crystal, Bobby, and the rest of the team at NextHome HomeFront on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in Ocean Springs, MS!
