Pleasanton, CA — October 11, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our two newest additions to the franchise, NextHome Grand (Mesa) and NextHome Grand (Grand Junction). The brokerages represent the 10th and 11th locations opened in the state of Colorado for the NextHome franchise.

The two brokerages will be owned and operated by business partners Nathalie Ames, Eileen Turner and Ross Beede. All three partners have been top-producing agents in their markets and will each have specific roles within the company.

Nathalie will be the managing broker for both locations with Ross and Eileen switching off as the managing broker in 2019 and 2020. This strategy will allow each owner to focus on their personal business while the acting managing broker can focus on growing the company and providing guidance for agents at the company.

NextHome Grand’s two locations will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, luxury homes, farm and ranch properties, rehab and resale property listings, investment sales, and land sales for buyers and sellers.

The offices will service Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Loma, Mack, Clifton, De Beque, Mesa, Molina, Collbran, Parachute, Rifle, Silt, Glenwood Springs, and the remainder of Mesa County.

With a combined experience of more than 40 years in the real estate industry, Ross and Eileen have been a top-producing team since 2015. Working with buyers and sellers in addition to projects such as real estate developments and investment properties, The Turner/Beede Team sold more than 90 transactions in 2017.

A third-generation REALTOR®, Nathalie started her real estate career in 1996 in Chicago, Illinois. For nearly 20 years, Nathalie sold an average of $13 million annually and was one of the top-producing agents in the area. When she relocated to Mesa, Colorado, she picked up right where she left off, selling real estate at a high level. In 2017, Nathalie sold 27 homes to the tune of $11 million in volume.

Nathalie was introduced to NextHome in January 2018 and came to the NextHome Conference held in San Diego, California in March 2018.

“When I went to San Diego and saw NextHome up close and personal, I loved the newer company with a management team open to new ideas with an eye on the future of our industry,” said Nathalie. “I love the idea of partnering not only with business partners who I respect like Eileen and Ross, but with a franchise that has leaders who have real estate knowledge, experience and a stellar reputation.”

When it came time to consider opening a NextHome office, the business partners were no strangers to owning their own companies.

Ross opened his own real estate brokerage, Grand Junction Real Source, in 2001. As the broker/owner of that office, he grew the company to nearly 30 agents. He merged the office with a nationally franchised office in 2008 and stayed on as the manager for the office for the next four years.

Not only is Nathalie a top-producing agent, but she is also the owner of Blink Coffee Company, a success full-service coffee shop, bar and restaurant.

When Eileen and Ross joined Nathalie at NextHome’s corporate office for a week of training classes for new franchisees, they had a similar experience.

“NextHome is a fresh, innovative and progressive company with a corporate staff eager to help our agents,” said Ross. “I really like the energy from the team and I’m excited about what the future holds for NextHome Grand.”

“It’s always been my dream to open and launch a business that I could own and be proud of,” said Eileen. “I know that with our team and our specific strengths, we will be able to really provide a brokerage with excellent service for our communities and also give agents a company they will be proud to work at.”

Please join us in congratulating Nathalie, Eileen, Ross and the rest of the team at NextHome Grand on the opening of their two new NextHome offices in Grand Junction and Mesa, CO!

NextHome Moves is the newest addition to the NextHome franchise

NextHome Moves is the newest addition to the NextHome franchise

Kerri and Gordon Woodson

Pleasanton, CA — September 28, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Moves. The brokerage represents the eighth location opened in Tennessee for the NextHome franchise.

The company will be owned and operated by real estate broker and top-selling REALTOR® Kerri Woodson. Kerri will handle all day-to-day operations and will serve as the principal broker for the company. She will be joined on the leadership team by her husband, Gordon. With over 20 years of experience as a contractor, Gordon will bring his knowledge of construction and housing development to the firm. He will also handle all technology support and web development for NextHome Moves.

Based in Clarksville, NextHome Moves will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, multi-family, new construction, land purchase and acquisition, and veteran relocation services in Clarksville, Springfield, Pleasant View, and the remainder of Cheatham, Robertson and Montgomery counties.

Clarksville is the fifth largest city in the state of Tennessee. With a population of just over 150,000, Clarksville is located 40 minutes northwest of Nashville near the Tennessee/Kentucky state border line.

Kerri started her real estate career in 2010 with a local Prudential Realty in Clarksville. Doing well in selling homes for the first three years as a REALTOR®, Kerri made the move to Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

In 2016, Kerri was introduced to the NextHome franchise at about the same time she opened her own real estate brokerage. That year, she opened Millwood Real Estate and focused on creating a company that would help agents bring real value to their clients. Although she stayed in contact with NextHome’s Vice President of Sales, Charis Moreno, Kerri felt right about staying as an independent brokerage at that time.

“Opening my own brokerage was an exciting opportunity, but I also wanted to make sure I continued building on my skills as a broker so I could lead others effectively,” said Kerri. “By focusing on improving as a broker, I felt I could provide insight and guidance to agents who were looking for a place to work where they could excel.”

Gordon’s construction business, Woodson Construction, brought a unique advantage to the company as well. As a contractor who built as many as 15 homes a year, Gordon created inventory for Millwood Real Estate to list and sell. Having this inventory to sell gave the agents at the brokerage a significant advantage with these newly constructed homes available for them to hold open houses and draw in potential buyers.

In 2018, Kerri felt it was time to grow the brokerage and decided to open up discussions again with Charis.

“When it came time to offer more to agents at our brokerage, I found NextHome to be the right franchise to partner with, said Kerri. “With the progressive technology platform and the relatable leadership team, we love the support of NextHome. We feel like we are in business with people who want to help us be the very best.”

Kerri describes the NextHome Moves difference as a company with great culture and an atmosphere of learning to be great businessmen and businesswomen. The brokerage will also create and maintain standards and systems that will make the agents successful.

Kerri and Gordon have been married for 25 years and have two children. Their oldest son, Colton (age 18), is attending college in St. Louis, Missouri at Maryville University and is in the MBA program of Sports Business Management. Their youngest son, Brody (age 16), is a high school junior who plays for the school’s football team.

Please join us in congratulating Kerri, Gordon and the rest of the team at NextHome Moves on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in Clarksville, TN!

Zillow Group: Friend or Foe?

Zillow Group: Friend or Foe?

When it comes to Zillow Group, there seems to be a lot of fear and anger in our industry and it has been this way since the company launched in 2004. I experienced this first hand while working on the portal side of the business, starting with Realtor.com in 2003 and leaving Trulia in 2014. What I learned during these years has provided me insight into what the consumer needs and demands, as well as the fears of real estate professionals across the country.

Fear in business can be dangerous and detrimental. Some of us pull old quotes from Zillow executives and use them today to justify our concerns. Have we never changed course in our business or personal lives? Is it wrong for Zillow to shift direction? If the plan is not working, then perhaps the plan should change but not the goal.

One thing is certain: Zillow has never been shy about their goal of giving power to the people when it comes to making the best decision on the single greatest investment of their life. It’s not as complicated as we have made it over the last several decades. Instead of seeing them as a threat, why not look at Zillow Group as a way to learn and adopt what is working?

Yes, you could ignore them or pull your data as a way to fight against them. The reality is Zillow Group has captured over two-thirds of the total market share of online real estate shoppers and has more than double the audience of Realtor.com, the official site of the National Association of REALTORS®. We used to pay at least five times more for this kind of reach in print advertising without any guarantees readers would even flip to the real estate section. And don’t even get me started on TV or Super Bowl commercials.

NextHome’s leadership team understands that change is inevitable, but transformation is optional. And we choose transformation.

We are focused on transforming the franchise model into something fun and desirable; our franchise owners and their offices into a profitable and enticing place to work; and our agents into the most valuable part of the transaction, so there are no objections at closing time when the commission is paid.

We are also focused on transforming our relationship with industry partners, such as Zillow Group, so our agents and franchise owners are one of the first to be called upon when our partners want to try something new.

Especially if it means we can hold Zillow accountable for providing a service that will need to be successful if they want to get paid. And why shouldn’t they? After all, they are consuming all the financial risk to position themselves as the most visited real estate site in the world. How is it any different than hiring Cartus or paying another broker for a referral, except in this case the referring company is Zillow?

Is this a risky move? Of course! But it becomes a shared risk and without risk, there would be no progress. And without progress, we will not transform into the best version of ourselves.

NextHome All American is the newest addition to the NextHome franchise

NextHome All American is the newest addition to the NextHome franchise

Teresa Saraco Cole

Pleasanton, CA — September 26, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome All American. The brokerage represents the 47th location opened in Florida for the NextHome franchise.

The company will be owned and operated by real estate broker and second-generation REALTOR® Teresa Saraco Cole. As the CEO/Owner of the company, Teresa will handle all day-to-day operations, as well as all training for the agents. She will be joined on the leadership team by Codie Tennant who will serve as the Agent Relationship Manager. Codie will be responsible for onboarding all agents and will help them with marketing and business development.

Based in DeBary, NextHome All American will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, multi-family, land, new construction, condos, second homes, vacation homes, retiree services, and veteran relocation services in DeBary, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, Orange City, Deltona, Osteen, Sanford, Lake Mary, Longwood, and the remainder of North Orlando Area.

DeBary is a suburb community located 20 miles north of Orlando. Home to nearly 20,000 residents, DeBary is part of the Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach Metropolitan Area.

Teresa started in real estate in 1996 while working for her parents, Joe and Maria Saraco, at their brokerage, Choice Properties Inc. As a 17-year-old, Teresa wrote real estate ads, took photos of properties and delivered MLS books.

Teresa got her real estate license in 2002 and worked as a sales and leasing agent for a local new home builder. As her parents moved the brokerage from an independent to a Century 21 franchisee, Teresa came back in 2002 to manage the brokerage. At 23, she was one of the youngest real estate managers in the area.

In 2006, she moved to the state of Texas for school. In 2009, Teresa started her own massage therapy business.

Three years later, she returned to Florida and opened her own massage therapy clinic – Avalon Massage and Body Works. Running a successful business was very rewarding, but in 2013, she was asked to help the family once again.

“I really enjoyed owning my own company, but the physical demands of massage therapy coupled with the opportunity to keep the family brokerage going meant it was the right time for me to return to real estate,” said Teresa. “My parents have given me so much, I could never repay them. It was important to come back and help them in any way I could.”

Not only did Teresa manage the brokerage, but she sold homes too. Selling more than $4 million dollars annually (in a market with an average sales price of $160,000), Teresa practiced what she preached.

While still managing, as well as moving into active sales, Teresa began her involvement with the Women’s Council of REALTORS®. She first served as the Women’s Council of REALTORS® – Volusia Area President in 2016.

In 2017, she was recognized by the West Volusia Association of REALTORS® as REALTOR® of The Year.

She currently is President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®– Volusia Area President (for the second time) and 2018 Director for the West Volusia Association of REALTORS®. In 2019, Teresa will serve as the 2019 Treasurer for the Association.

Teresa found NextHome via her connections through Women’s Council of REALTORS®.

“Paige Brewer and Robyn Stahl opened their NextHome office in Daytona Beach and I sat back and watched their progress as a company,” said Teresa. “I saw how they ran their NextHome brokerage and I just couldn’t stop thinking about opening my own NextHome office.”

“I love the fact that at NextHome everything works,” she added. “No broken parts. No empty promises from the franchise. And to have direct access with the corporate team is so unique and different than I had ever experienced in the past. I’m thrilled to be a part of the NextHome family.”

When not selling real estate, Teresa loves spending time with her family. She is married to her husband of three years, Jeremy. Jeremy has two children – his daughter Madison (age 10) and son Carson (age 8).

The family loves kayaking, boating, or any other water activity.

Please join us in congratulating Teresa, Codie and the rest of the team at NextHome All American on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in DeBary, FL!

NextHome Findly Estates opens second office location

NextHome Findly Estates opens second office location

Dennis Findly and Karah Sullivan
Dennis Findly and Karah Sullivan

Pleasanton, CA — September 12, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Findly Estates – Murrieta Branch. The brokerage represents the 58th location opened in California for the NextHome franchise.

The company will be owned and operated by longtime real estate broker, Dennis Findly. Joining him on the leadership team as Office Manager will be his daughter, Karah Sullivan. The father/daughter team have been working together in real estate for the past nine years.

Based in Murrieta, NextHome Findly Estates will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, land sales, multi family, short sales, foreclosures, commercial, luxury, new construction, and property management throughout the Temecula Valley.

This location represents Findly’s second office opening. He opened his first NextHome brokerage in December 2017.

“Everything fell into place this year and it was perfect timing for NextHome Findly Estates to expand into Temecula Valley,” said Findly.

Starting his real estate career in 1990, Findly steadily built his business under the Prudential brand for more than 15 years. As a top-producing agent in Riverside County, he created a team to support his increased year-over-year sales.

Findly went out on his own in 2006 and opened his brokerage – America’s Alternative Realty. Under Findly’s leadership, the brokerage expanded to nearly 40 agents.

In 2008, the recession changed the entire real estate market in Riverside County. Aware of the changes coming, Findly modified his real estate model and focused on foreclosures and short sales.

In working with REO companies and banks with foreclosure portfolios, Findly expanded his real estate reach to service listings in the neighboring state of Nevada. Over the course of four years, America’s Alternative Realty sold more than 600 Nevada homes.

“There were so many properties going into foreclosure in 2008 and 2009, our company wanted to be the resource for the banks on their REO properties,” said Findly. “While covering Nevada was an ambitious undertaking, my team and I were able to successfully handle business in both states.”

As an independent broker, Findly wanted to stay cutting edge with technology and service for his clients. After researching his options, Findly came across the NextHome brand and saw what the franchise could bring to his brokerage.

“I looked at just about every franchise model and no one had everything I was looking for except NextHome,” recalled Findly. “Since adopting NextHome, our agents are more excited than ever for the tools that better serve their clients. All the training, webinars, tech… all of it has me excited about the future of NextHome Findly Estates.”

When not selling real estate, the father of three is a lifelong musician. Whether it’s writing music, playing instruments, or singing, Findly’s passion for music spans over 30 years.

Please join us in congratulating Dennis, Karah and the rest of the team at NextHome Findly Estates on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in Murrieta, CA!

NextHome Living The Northwest opens third franchised location

Pleasanton, CA — August 31, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the NextHome franchise – NextHome Living The Northwest – Sandpoint Branch. This will be the third NextHome location opened by the franchisee. NextHome Living The Northwest opened its first location in Post Falls, Idaho in March 2017, and just three months later, they opened their second location in Spokane, Washington.

This branch location of NextHome Living The Northwest will be located in Sandpoint, Idaho. The new office will provide real estate services such as residential sales, investment property sales, land sales, resort properties, and second home sales.

Sandpoint is a destination where many visitors come to ski at one of the nation’s premier ski resorts, Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort.

All three NextHome Living The Northwest locations sit on or near the Washington/Idaho border and will serve the needs of residents in both states. In Washington, the office will cover Spokane, Liberty Lake, Spokane Valley, Cheney, Deer Park, Mead, and Medical Lake. The Idaho brokerages will cover Sandpoint, Hayden, Rathdrum, Spirit Lake, Kellogg, Wallace, Post Falls, and Coeur d’Alene.

The NextHome brokerage will be owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Mike and Sheryl Van Dinter.

Mike will be the Designated Broker for the company and will handle the day-to-day operations, while Sheryl will be in charge of the accounting and financial operations.

The Van Dinters found it the right time to expand when they found great agents to join the brokerage. Top-producing REALTOR® Jake Humble, as well as the successful Davies Team, are just a couple of examples of talented agents that are a part of the NextHome Living The Northwest group.

“Jake has been a great addition to our company,” said Mike. “He brings a wealth of knowledge as a local real estate appraiser and has started his sales career very strongly. He’s already a top producer and has really made his mark in the community.”

“Having the husband/wife team of Tom and Lisa Davies as part of the NextHome brokerage will really put NextHome Living The Northwest on the map,” he added. “Their commitment to exceptional marketing and client service is second to none. Sheryl and I are proud to have them as members of our brokerage.”

As real estate investors for nearly 20 years, the Van Dinters have been involved in both commercial and residential real estate.

Realizing he wanted to be more hands-on with the selling process, Mike attained his real estate license in 2014. By being more involved on the sales side, Mike enjoyed it and saw an opportunity.

“The idea of opening our own brokerage really started in 2016,” recalled Mike. “I had just gotten my real estate broker’s license and found it to be the right time to open our own company.”

Knowing they would need to add technology and tools to set the brokerage apart from other local real estate offices. After researching several real estate franchises, the choice was obvious.

“NextHome stood out from the rest by a mile,” said Mike. “Seeing the orange and how effectively the color scheme worked with yard signage worked so well with listings, in addition to all the incredible technology offered by the company… all of it added up to be the right choice for us.”

Additionally, the company will focus on deep relationships with members of the community.

“At NextHome Living The Northwest, it’s about helping families – not pushing files,” added Sheryl.

When not selling real estate, the Van Dinters focus on family.

Married for 43 years, Mike and Sheryl have two children and six grandchildren. Mike has been flying airplanes for nearly five decades and often flies the family to various vacation destinations. They are also Certified Scuba Divers and enjoy time in the water on their boat.

Please join us in congratulating Mike, Sheryl, and the rest of their team at NextHome Living The Northwest for the opening of their third NextHome office!

NextHome Premier Homes Realty opens in Humble, Texas

NextHome Premier Homes Realty opens in Humble, Texas

(From left to right) Rita Zarghami, Keyvan Zarghami, and Virgie Green

Pleasanton, CA — August 17, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Premier Homes Realty. The brokerage represents the 20th office location opened in the state of Texas for the NextHome franchise.

The company will be owned and operated by real estate broker Rita Zarghami. Rita will be the broker of record and in charge of all day-to-day operations. She will be joined on the leadership team by her husband, Keyvan, and Virgie Calligan-Green. Keyvan will serve as the Vice President of Operations for the brokerage, while Virgie will be the Office Manager.

Based in Humble, NextHome Premier Homes Realty will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, second homes, investment, luxury, and land deals for the areas of Humble, Lake Houston, Atascocita, Kingwood, Crosby, Porter, Huffman, North Channel, and the surrounding areas of Northeast Houston.

Humble is located 20 minutes north of Downtown Houston and is home to approximately 20,000 residents.

Licensed since 1994, Rita has been a longtime top-producing REALTOR® in the Houston area. After nearly ten years of high-volume sales, Rita opened her own brokerage in 2003 – Red Stone Realty LLC.

Under her leadership, she built the brokerage with talented agents to see annual sales in excess of $25 million. Additionally, Keyvan also opened a mortgage company, 1st Community Mortgage Group, concurrent with the opening of the real estate brokerage. The mortgage company was just as successful with more than $20 million in volume annually.

During the recession in the late 2000’s, Houston and surrounding areas were hit extremely hard. Pivoting to adjust to the market conditions, Rita agreed to take over as the Sales Manager for the local Humble Century 21 brokerage, while still actively producing as a selling REALTOR®. Managing 20 agents, Rita guided the brokerage to a very productive office in the midst of an extremely challenging financial time for the state of Texas.

In 2013, Rita went back to running her own brokerage. Changing the brokerage name to Premier Homes, she grew the company to 1o REALTORS® and a large portfolio of listings. But Rita knew she needed more to provide to her agents.

“At the end of 2017, I was approached by several local franchisees about merging with their companies,” said Rita. “I really didn’t have any interest in doing that. I personally went out to seek what was available out there to provide more value for our agents.”

After doing her own research and sharing the info with Keyvan, the Zarghamis reached out to NextHome and spoke with NextHome’s VP of Sales, Charis Moreno.

“I was really excited about the NextHome franchise and what the company had to offer Premier Homes,” she added. “I continued to research other companies, but all roads led back to NextHome.”

Rita says the NextHome Premier Realty difference stems from the company’s five core values: Spiritual, Family, Business, Financial, and Personal.

“We truly treat our clients as people and not just a sale,” said Rita. “We want to build deep relationships with the families in our community. Our agents are client-focused and hold the highest standards. Ethics and honesty are key to earning the trust of our clients and community.”

When not selling real estate, Rita and Keyvan look forward to spending time with their family. They have three children – daughter Akila, and two sons – Jeremiah and Keyvan Keyanoosh. They also have five grandchildren – Joshua, Jacob, Isabela, Kaiden, and Jackson.

Rita loves to cook for the family, while Keyvan is a Corvette enthusiast and attends as many car shows as possible.

Please join us in congratulating Rita, Keyvan, Virgie, and the rest of the team at NextHome Premier Homes Realty on the opening of their new NextHome office in Humble, TX!

Travis Ploman (left) and Bryan Loveland

Pleasanton, CA — August 9, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Leading Edge. Business partners Travis Ploman and Bryan Loveland will be the owners and operators of the brokerage. The company represents the eighth office location opened in the state of Wisconsin for the NextHome franchise.

NextHome Leading Edge will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, multi-family, veteran and military buyers, and land deals for all areas of Rothschild, Wausau, Weston, Schofield, Mosinee, and the remainder of Marathon County.

Located approximately 100 miles west of Green Bay, the village of Rothschild has a population of just over 5,000 residents and is located in the heart of Marathon County.

Licensed since 2012, Travis started his career with Coldwell Banker Action Realty in Schofield, Wisconsin. As a solo agent, Travis earned Rookie of the Year honors for the company, selling a house a month for his first year. He steadily built his business over the next four years and had a high of 80 transaction sides closed in 2017.

Bryan joined Coldwell Banker Action Realty in 2017 after 19 years of running his own contracting company, Northern Exteriors LLC.

Travis mentored Bryan through his first year of the business and the two found themselves to be a great team together.

With business booming for Travis, he saw an opportunity to work as a team with Bryan and it sparked their interest of opening their own brokerage.

“Travis is a tech-savvy agent who really understands the needs of his clients,” said Bryan. “I learned a lot from him as my real estate mentor and we get along very well. He’s a great person to be in business with.”

“Bryan is a relatable, honest and trustworthy agent who leaves a positive impression with everyone he comes in contact with,” said Travis.

With Travis’ book of business and Bryan’s management background, they looked at 2018 as the perfect time to start their new company.

“We wanted to open a brokerage but knew we would be looking at a franchise model to help us put together the tools we needed to build on our business,” said Travis. “We heard about NextHome and did research on the company. Including finding out about the company through the first NextHome franchisee in Wisconsin, Randy Lenz.”

“After thorough research, we knew NextHome was the best fit for our brokerage model,” he added.

When not selling real estate, Travis and Bryan enjoy spending time with their families.

Travis has an 18-year-old son, Jordan, and they like to do water activities such as boating and water sports such as wakeboarding, skiing and tubing. Travis also volunteers as the audio/visual tech at Christ Community Church.

Jerry Salyers

Pleasanton, CA — August 7, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Real Estate Dogs. Thirty-year real estate veteran Jerry Salyers will be the owner and operator for the brokerage. The company represents the 58th office location opened in the state of California for the NextHome franchise.

NextHome Real Estate Dogs will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, and investment properties to the areas of Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, and the remainder of Orange County.

The city of Irvine is a master-planned community developed by the private real estate development company, The Irvine Company. They started building in the 1960’s and by 1971, the community was formally incorporated as a city. Irvine has a population of just over 260,000 residents.

Licensed since the 1980’s, Jerry has done it all in the real estate industry. From owning a mortgage company to working for a new home builder to providing a development company consulting work for apartment and condo conversions, Jerry has seen most anything in real estate.

Since 2016, Jerry has owned and operated Salyers Home Design & Staging, a staging consulting business. Staging over 30 properties a year, Salyers Home Design & Staging mainly helps new home builders set their new homes to make buyers fall in love with the floor plans and layouts.

Over the past two years, Jerry had expanded his business to not only serve new home builders, but REALTORS® in the area as well. Realizing some agents could improve on the marketing of their listings, Jerry saw an opportunity he would like to be a part of.

“I’ve worked with agents marketing homes and business prospecting for some time now,” said Jerry. “I see what they could be doing better and how a brokerage with support to help these agents could really do well in our local market.”

Jerry first found NextHome like many brokers do – via REALTOR® Magazine and the Franchise Comparison Report. After further research, he contacted NextHome’s VP of Sales, Charis Moreno, and found her leadership approach and non-pressure attitude to be a refreshing difference in a world of pushy salespeople.

Although Jerry found NextHome to be the right fit for his brokerage, he was not always a fan of franchises.

“Previous to partnering with NextHome, I found franchises to block creativity of the business,” said Jerry. “But after researching NextHome and seeing the focus on great looking marketing as well as the completeness of the brokerage services, I think the franchise is unique to real estate.”

“NextHome has done what I would have done if I started my own franchise,” he added with a laugh.

Born and raised in Southern California, Jerry is a father to three daughters in their thirties – Katherine, Lauren and Stephanie. He enjoys golfing and going to sporting events, especially football. He describes himself as a huge Denver Broncos fan. Jerry is also an accomplished screenwriter and poet and has several projects in development.

Please join us in congratulating Jerry and the rest of the team at NextHome Real Estate Dogs on the opening of their new NextHome office in Irvine, CA!
