Pleasanton, CA— May 24, 2017 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome First Class. The new brokerage is the second NextHome franchise location opened in the state of Illinois.
Based out of the city of Freeport, NextHome First Class will be owned and operated by award-winning, top producer Kimberly Taylor. The brokerage will service the entire Northwest Illinois area.
The brokerage will serve clients with residential real estate services such as investment properties, move-up properties, first-time home buyers, luxury home sales, Veteran’s Affairs (VA) home loan purchases, land purchase and listings, as well as commercial properties.
Located two hours northwest of Chicago, Freeport is home to nearly 25,000 residents and is the largest city in Stephenson County.
Licensed since 2001, Taylor has always been an early adopter of cutting-edge technology and constant education. With her commitment to providing first-class service to her clients, she has steadily built her business year-over-year as one of the best agents in her area.
Seeing that online property searches was going to be a large part of the buyers’ home search process, she was an early adopter of using online portals such as Zillow and REALTOR.com for lead generation. Starting as far back as 2009, Taylor understood buyer and seller tendencies well before the real estate agent masses did.
“I have always found investing back into my business was something that helped my business thrive,” said Taylor. “Whether it was through increased marketing efforts for my clients’ listings, providing better resources for my buyer clients to help them find their dream home more efficiently, or spending the time educating myself through seminars and training, committing to being better for my clients has really helped me succeed.”
That commitment has catapulted Taylor to be ranked as the #1 agent in her area in transactions sold over the past few years.
In 2016, Taylor sold an incredible 190 transaction sides to the tune of over $18 million in real estate sales volume – easily ranking her as the top agent in her real estate sales area.
Taylor has a team of support staff including a non-licensed assistant to help her with her transactions, but makes sure that each of her clients get personal and custom real estate service.
“Our team works really hard to make it all happen, but I make sure that my clients never feel passed on or handed off to someone else,” said Taylor. “They hired me to handle their sale or purchase, so I make sure to be their main point of contact at all times.”
With her hands-on approach to real estate service, Taylor’s listings will almost always be under contract in under 60 days – half of the average days on market of competitors’ listings.
In late 2016, Taylor knew it was time to leave her brokerage and open her own.
“I wanted to provide clients with more resources that my previous brokerage couldn’t provide,” added Taylor. “By opening my own company, it provided me with the flexibility to run my business in the way I could provide even better service for our community.”

When not selling real estate, Taylor focuses on spending time with her family. She and her husband of 15 years, James Robinson, have two children – their son A.J. (age 13) and daughter Taylor (11).
The family loves doing things outdoors such as horseback riding and enjoying time on the water at Lake Carroll.
