NextHome Celebrates Long-term Franchise Partnership

Pleasanton, CA — April 6, 2026 — NextHome is celebrating a partnership of almost 10 years with high-achieving, Ohio-based brokerage—NextHome Experience

As this office of more than 70 high-producing agents looks to the future, owners David Caraboolad and Vadim Barash took a moment to reflect on their success—and why NextHome remains the right partner.

“There’s a lot of noise in real estate right now around all these worrying headlines,” Vadim said. “Honestly, the average consumer doesn’t care about those conversations. They want trusted connections with real estate agents who are outstanding at their jobs. Focusing on relationship building and hard work defines the story of our success, and those are things that NextHome encourages.”

“Real estate hasn’t changed as much as people think,” David added. “If a buyer doesn’t like a house, or a seller doesn’t price or prepare a home correctly, nothing else matters. It always comes back to the basics. As NextHome Experience, we have the freedom to attract, support, and retain exceptional agents who are really good at these basics.”

David began his career in the early 1990s, starting in residential sales and the management of a $100 million apartment portfolio. He quickly rose to the top of Ohio real estate and was ranked in the top 3 percent by the Columbus REALTORS® Board. After closing $60 million in gross sales over seven years, David developed a reputation for knowledgeable excellence. That reputation led to regional leadership and sales roles, which is where he met Vadim.

A real estate professional since the late 1990s, Vadim is known for his entrepreneurial success and brokerage leadership in Central Ohio. He closed nearly 40 transactions in his first year and went on to found RE/MAX Town Center in 2001, growing it from a two-person startup into a 187-agent powerhouse that exceeded 5,000 annual transactions and ranked among the top 50 producing RE/MAX offices worldwide. After a decade of brokerage leadership, he transitioned into a corporate role as franchise sales director for the Ohio region.

Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of various franchises was part of Vadim’s job. In 2016, NextHome’s strengths caught his attention.

“Back then, NextHome stood out for its branding,” Vadim said. “It literally described what you were doing—finding your next home.”

“Right away I realized that NextHome could do things on the tech and branding side that I couldn’t afford or build myself on the timeline I needed,” David added. “We asked for the franchise disclosure, and the rest is history.”

Since opening NextHome Experience in 2016, David and Vadim have created a brokerage that focuses on the fundamentals, not gimmicks. Through NextHome’s freedom and flexibility, they grew the office into multiple locations with more than 100 agents, before uniting agents in a single office hub. In 2020, NextHome Experience earned a top spot on RISMedia’s Power Broker Report, finishing the year with an astounding $250,325,639 in volume across 1,023 transactions, placing them at No. 911 in the country. These totals were even higher the following year, when NextHome Experience achieved $450 million in sales volume with about 1,450 transactions.

Today, the brokerage averages around 800 transactions and more than $300 million in annual sales volume—a shift that mirrors current local market conditions.

“We couldn’t be more proud of David, Vadim, and the entire NextHome Experience team,” said James Dwiggins, CEO of NextHome, Inc. “Not only are they exceptional real estate professionals and true experts in their field, but they are also impeccable human beings who elevate everyone around them and continue to raise the standard for our entire company.”

Across the company, NextHome franchise owners feel positively about their experience. In January, NextHome ranked No. 1 overall and No. 1 in real estate for owner satisfaction on the 2026 Franchise Business Review Top Franchises list. This is the fifth time NextHome has earned the top overall ranking and the eighth time it has led the real estate category—underscoring its continued commitment to supporting and empowering franchise owners.

The franchise offers one-year and five-year franchise agreements. This flexible model contributed to franchise owner satisfaction, giving franchise owners a flexible choice in how they structure their long-term relationship with the brand.

Reflecting on their relationship with NextHome, David and Vadim agreed that NextHome’s flexibility contributed to NextHome Experience’s rise. Providing the tools and support they needed, then getting out of the way, allowed David and Vadim to create a successful brokerage.

“NextHome doesn’t get me out of bed in the morning. They don’t make the phone ring. They don’t recruit for me,” David said. “They provide tools and platforms—but I still have to pull the levers. When I need them, they’re there. When I don’t, I can operate independently. That balance matters.”

Charis Moreno, NextHome’s Vice President of Sales, echoed David’s perspective.

“If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that work works,” Charis said. “As leaders in real estate, we show up every day and empower people to be the best versions of themselves. Leadership that empowers others is essential. As a company, NextHome works tirelessly to give franchise owners, brokers, and agents the tools they need to succeed.”

For NextHome Experience, success has been twofold. First, Vadim highlighted the office’s commitment to empowering well-supported, productive agents.

“You can have 500 agents, but if they don’t close transactions, it’s just dead weight,” Vadim said. “A lot of satellite locations also sounds impressive, but you can have 30 locations with five agents each and still not be successful. For us, the right balance is having incredible agents who are supported in ways that help each person achieve their own impressive results.”

The second critical factor is brand loyalty and connection.

“Productive agents stay when the franchise culture supports them with substance,” Vadim said. “Supporting agents through those 10 p.m. phone calls that keep deals together—that’s substance. Creating a culture of professionalism and camaraderie—that’s substance. NextHome encourages brokerages not only to be successful financially, but also to nurture those intangible moments of support and connection.”

Looking to the future, David and Vadim agree that NextHome Experience will continue to be a powerhouse in Ohio real estate because NextHome remains the right franchise partner.

“There’s no better option out there,” Vadim said. “There’s always room for innovation, but right now NextHome is leading. This company gives us the flexibility to focus on what works for our unique market. And NextHome still has substance where it counts—professionalism, tools, tech stack, marketing, and people. All of that improves year after year.”

Please join us in congratulating David, Vadim, and their entire team at NextHome Experience on their continued success as a NextHome franchise.
