Conveniently located in the greater Tampa Metro area, NextHome Luxury Real Estate serves clients throughout Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Hernando, and Citrus counties. The brokerage offers expertise in all types of residential real estate, including the region’s growing investment market.
NextHome Luxury Real Estate is owned by Cindy Cabanas. Cindy has been serving real estate clients with her signature style of kindness and tenacity since 2003.
“Working as a real estate professional allowed me to combine creativity and my love of design in a people-focused career,” Cindy said. “Today, NextHome Luxury Real Estate is a company that truly cares about each client, and we are passionate and innovative in everything we do.”
Although she was born and raised in nearby Tampa, Cindy began her real estate career in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. Within six short months, Cindy achieved outstanding sales volumes in one of the nation’s most challenging markets. With less than a year in real estate, Cindy was sixth in dollar volume among her region’s sales professionals.
Her unique blend of people-centered professionalism built a thriving sales business.
“Helping people gives me a lot of professional satisfaction,” Cindy said.
In 2007, Cindy was thriving as a listing agent with Sotheby’s. As her success grew, she asked if she could go from office to office to motivate and nurture agents. That request eventually led to a role managing two local offices and more than 60 agents.
As a national housing crisis set in, Cindy expertly held her offices together. Not only did the offices make it through the crash, but every agent remained.
“I was very happy that we held our team together,” Cindy said.
In 2011, Cindy returned home to Florida where she continued to excel in office management and agent leadership. Throughout the next several years, Cindy turned around multiple low-performing brokerages.
“Being a managing broker, I play a pivotal role in guiding agents toward success and helping them transition smoothly into rewarding careers in real estate,” Cindy said.
As her career continued to blossom, Cindy considered opening her own office. However, she wanted a franchise partner that aligned with her people-first vision for real estate.
That’s when she discovered NextHome.

Outside the office, Cindy serves on the Professional Standards Committee for the West Pasco Board of REALTORS®. As someone who loves her community, Cindy has also supported the Joshua House, Make-a-Wish, and Sunshine Kids non-profits. Looking forward, Cindy is excited to support Canine Companions for Independence – NextHome’s partner charity.
Cindy is married with three grown children and four grandchildren. She enjoys boating with the family, exploring area restaurants, and cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays.
