Pleasanton, CA — February 1, 2022 — NextHome is pleased to announce the newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Coconut Island Realty, based in Hilo, Hawaii. The brokerage represents the 510th office to join the NextHome franchise out of 568 active office locations across the country.
NextHome Coconut Island Realty will serve clients across the east side of Hawaii Island, including Pahoa, Keaau, Mountain View, Kurtistown, Papaikou, Paauilo, the Puna District.
Hilo is the largest city in Hawaii County. This rainy and rural area on the Big Island is home to more than 43,000 people.
NextHome Coconut Island Realty is owned by experienced island REALTOR® Carolyn Johnson.
Carolyn began her real estate career in 2007 and worked with various franchised brokerages across the island.
At the time she started in real estate, Carolyn found herself as a single mother trying to balance raising kids with buying her own home and making ends meet. Through determination and kindness, Carolyn was able to build a successful career and beautiful life for her family.
Although Carolyn achieved great progress in her sales career, she views her greatest accomplishments as the lives she has been able to change.
“I love real estate – I love the rush of showing properties and meeting people and helping them get into homes,” Carolyn said. “Many of these clients are in the same position as I was, not knowing if homeownership was ever going to happen for them. I love being in a position now to provide education and show others how to achieve their goals.”
In the course of doing business, Carolyn would often refer clients looking for property on the west side of the island to a NextHome agent, Jennifer Bien with NextHome Paradise Realty.
“Jennifer referred her clients to me on this side and I helped her quite a bit,” Carolyn recalled. “She had wonderful things to say about NextHome. She talked about how NextHome provides a lot of opportunity, really modern technology, and it was the best place she has ever worked at.”
As Carolyn began looking for franchise opportunities, she knew that she needed to look into NextHome.
“I was looking for a company that was cohesive in every aspect,” Carolyn said. “From the marketing, to the technology, to the back end support, NextHome provides everything a broker needs to make sure they succeed.”
Today, NextHome Coconut Island Realty is offering clients on the Big Island industry-leading technology mixed with Carolyn’s family-friendly way of doing business.
Real estate is all about family for Carolyn. Her daughter and husband are in the process of joining Carolyn at NextHome Coconut Island Realty as agents. Her other daughter is also in real estate working in Oahu.
In her community, Carolyn is passionate about advocating for childhood autism support services in addition to supporting cancer research. She is the mother of three children, including a step-daughter.
When the family finds time to relax, they enjoy beach barbecues, exploring the island, and being together outdoors.
