Pleasanton, CA— December 15, 2015 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Pikes Peak Realty. This is the franchise’s second brokerage in the state of Colorado.
Owned and operated by Josh Roy, the Colorado Springs-based brokerage will provide residential real estate sales to the cities of Colorado Springs, Fountain, Monument and Falcon.
Roy joined the ranks of real estate at an early age. While working towards his business degree at Utah Valley University, he thought about careers he could apply his degree towards. He came across real estate as a potential option. The more he learned about the industry, the more interested he became. So much so, that in 2005, he attained his real estate license and began selling homes in the Salt Lake City area during his senior year.
Roy started at Century 21 At The Rockies in 2005. He steadily grew his production year-over-year, reaching an exceptional $10 million in sales volume in 2010. These sales numbers were incredible for an area that has an average sales price of $215,000.
While in Salt Lake City, he met Angela, the woman who would become his wife. Roy built a great business in Utah but longed to return to his hometown of Colorado Springs, CO. After careful discussion with his wife, in 2011 the couple decided to make the move to Colorado Springs and create a new real estate career in Colorado.
Roy aligned himself with Re/Max Properties in Colorado Springs and began rebuilding his real estate career. Utilizing his strong interpersonal communication skills and vast real estate knowledge, he was able to kick start his business immediately after relocating.
Roy sold $5 million in volume in his first year as a Colorado REALTOR®. Just as he did in Salt Lake City years earlier, Roy steadily increased his sales year-over-year, eventually selling nearly $11 million in 2015.
While happy with his annual sales, Roy realized his business grew because of his commitment to excellent customer service and dedication to his career, rather than the company he affiliated with. Always wanting to open his own brokerage, Roy began exploring the opportunity to do so in the fall of 2015.
“I have always been committed to providing great client services,” said Roy. “After working for two different companies, I knew my strong relationship with my clients came from their connection to me – not my brokerage.”
After speaking with various franchise representatives, a simple Google search directed Roy to the NextHome.com website.
