Kerri and Gordon Woodson

Pleasanton, CA — September 28, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Moves. The brokerage represents the eighth location opened in Tennessee for the NextHome franchise.

The company will be owned and operated by real estate broker and top-selling REALTOR® Kerri Woodson. Kerri will handle all day-to-day operations and will serve as the principal broker for the company. She will be joined on the leadership team by her husband, Gordon. With over 20 years of experience as a contractor, Gordon will bring his knowledge of construction and housing development to the firm. He will also handle all technology support and web development for NextHome Moves.

Based in Clarksville, NextHome Moves will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, multi-family, new construction, land purchase and acquisition, and veteran relocation services in Clarksville, Springfield, Pleasant View, and the remainder of Cheatham, Robertson and Montgomery counties.

Clarksville is the fifth largest city in the state of Tennessee. With a population of just over 150,000, Clarksville is located 40 minutes northwest of Nashville near the Tennessee/Kentucky state border line.

Kerri started her real estate career in 2010 with a local Prudential Realty in Clarksville. Doing well in selling homes for the first three years as a REALTOR®, Kerri made the move to Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

In 2016, Kerri was introduced to the NextHome franchise at about the same time she opened her own real estate brokerage. That year, she opened Millwood Real Estate and focused on creating a company that would help agents bring real value to their clients. Although she stayed in contact with NextHome’s Vice President of Sales, Charis Moreno, Kerri felt right about staying as an independent brokerage at that time.

“Opening my own brokerage was an exciting opportunity, but I also wanted to make sure I continued building on my skills as a broker so I could lead others effectively,” said Kerri. “By focusing on improving as a broker, I felt I could provide insight and guidance to agents who were looking for a place to work where they could excel.”

Gordon’s construction business, Woodson Construction, brought a unique advantage to the company as well. As a contractor who built as many as 15 homes a year, Gordon created inventory for Millwood Real Estate to list and sell. Having this inventory to sell gave the agents at the brokerage a significant advantage with these newly constructed homes available for them to hold open houses and draw in potential buyers.

In 2018, Kerri felt it was time to grow the brokerage and decided to open up discussions again with Charis.

“When it came time to offer more to agents at our brokerage, I found NextHome to be the right franchise to partner with, said Kerri. “With the progressive technology platform and the relatable leadership team, we love the support of NextHome. We feel like we are in business with people who want to help us be the very best.”

Kerri describes the NextHome Moves difference as a company with great culture and an atmosphere of learning to be great businessmen and businesswomen. The brokerage will also create and maintain standards and systems that will make the agents successful.

Kerri and Gordon have been married for 25 years and have two children. Their oldest son, Colton (age 18), is attending college in St. Louis, Missouri at Maryville University and is in the MBA program of Sports Business Management. Their youngest son, Brody (age 16), is a high school junior who plays for the school’s football team.

Please join us in congratulating Kerri, Gordon and the rest of the team at NextHome Moves on the opening of their brand new NextHome office in Clarksville, TN!

Mark Moussa

Pleasanton, CA— August, 1 2016 — NextHome is proud to announce our latest addition to the franchise, NextHome Summit Realty. The brokerage represents the fourth NextHome franchise in the state of Tennessee.

Owned and operated by local top-producing REALTOR®, Mark Moussa, the Knoxville-based brokerage will provide residential real estate services to the areas of Oak Ridge, Maryville, Seymour, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Hardin Valley, Farragut, Bearden, and the remainder of the greater Knoxville area.

Knoxville is the home of the University of Tennessee and nearly 900,000 residents in and around the Knoxville Metropolitan area.

Moussa, a journalism graduate from the University of Tennessee, started his real estate career in 2014 after 12 years as a business owner of several Verizon stores in Knoxville. He took the business skills needed to succeed in the wireless industry and applied that to his real estate career – creating immediate success in sales.

“I happened to have met a customer who was a successful real estate agent when they used to come into my store,” recalls Moussa. “After asking more about the real estate industry, and sending her a lot of referrals, I felt I could do very well in real estate sales through a lot of my experience as a small business owner.”

In his very first year, Moussa compiled an incredible 32 transactions sides closed. Asked to be the brokerage’s technology director in late 2014, Moussa added the responsibility, but it didn’t take away from his ability to sell.

In 2015, Moussa put his high level prospecting skills to work and closed 56 transactions in the first six months of 2015 before taking the remainder of the year off to spend time with his three children – daughters Maya (11), Ali (8) and son Zaen (9).

“Family is so important to me,” said Moussa. “After having a really good first part of the year, I thought it would be best to take the second part of the year and focus on family.”

With his exceptional numbers, Moussa began researching the possibility of opening his own brokerage. A simple Google search led him to NextHome.

“NextHome was the right fit for my business and the team that I am working alongside,” said Moussa. “Knowing what lead generation I need to grow my company, NextHome made so much sense.”

Through the end of July 2016, Moussa has continued his pace by helping 57 families buy or sell real estate over the first seven months of the year.

Joining Moussa on the leadership team is experienced investor, house flipper and company stakeholder, Mike Harris, and broker of record, Ken Barnes.

Please join us in welcoming Mark, Mike, Ken and the rest of the team at NextHome Summit Realty to the NextHome family!

Valerie Ralston

Pleasanton, CA— November 24, 2015 NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome 383 Real Estate. This is the franchise’s first brokerage in the state of Tennessee.

Owned and operated by Valerie Ralston, the Henderson-based brokerage will provide residential real estate sales services to the counties of Chester, McNairy, Madison, and Carroll.

Previous to real estate, Ralston worked at a local television station in charge of sales in the marketing department. During her time at the station, she was able to see businesses who took their marketing seriously, and those who didn’t understand what marketing was about.

“I was able to see first hand what businesses were doing right and wrong when it came to marketing,” said Ralston. “Those who had a plan and purpose to their marketing received the most benefit from their efforts. Businesses that didn’t plan often found their business not getting the type of return they expected.”

Looking for a challenge, a friend suggested she try real estate as a potential career. Once Ralston took time to find out more about the industry, she saw that it allowed her to utilize her skills in marketing, yet allow her the ability to spend time with her family.
