Born and raised in San Angelo, Ben Thompson is an agent with hometown pride and extensive local knowledge. During high school, he attended Central High during the mornings and spent his afternoons at Lakeview. So, we can promise that he will not hold it against you if you attended the “other” school. However, we can tell you he has been known to root very hard for Bobcats on a Friday night!
As Ben says, he has “lived in real estate his entire life but, became a licensed agent in 2017”. Prior to becoming an agent, Ben spent almost two decades in wireless sales as the owner of Thompson Wireless. He also spent a short time in oilfield chemical sales until he found his calling in real estate.
Ben will celebrate his 20th wedding anniversary with his bride, Tracy, this summer 2019. He loves sports, traveling, firing up the grill and all of the things us “Texans” enjoy. But, whatever the event or activity, his family is by his side. His favorite “hobby” is spending time with them and making as many memories as they can.
Ben recently earned his G.R.I. (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) designation. With this designation, Ben’s ability to better serve clients has grown with an in-depth knowledge of technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate. Ben was the best realtor my partner and I could have ever hoped to work with in buying a house. He was friendly, funny, and super charismatic! It felt like we had a friend with us when we were searching to buy a home rather than someone just trying to
sell us something! We came in from out of town so we had done alot of research, but he made it so much easier to find what we were looking for. He even gave us cool places to eat while we were in town, and helped us refine our search. In three days we saw

I am a very difficult person to deal with and honestly, I really didn't think I was going to find a place to call my home, so I was half heartedly looking. Then I met Ben Thompson and the rest is history. He was very, very patient and kind. He actually "LISTENED" to me and to what I was looking for in a home and he didn't run me all over town. He was SO prompt and amazing!!!!!! He is the most professional, well versed in his position and knowledgeable in home buying. He guided me through my process and between him and my bank, completed my process in a really short period of time.
