Pleasanton, CA — December 12, 2025 — NextHome is proud to announce the opening of NextHome LoneStar Living, with offices in Fort Worth and Weatherford, Texas. The brokerages join the growing NextHome franchise, which currently has more than 600 active office locations across the country.
NextHome LoneStar Living offers expertise in first-time home buying, luxury properties, new homes, investment, relocation services, condos, townhomes, leasing, land, farm and ranch, and more. The brokerage serves clients throughout Weatherford, Azle, Springtown, Peaster, Poolville, and the remainder of Parker County, in addition to the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Alongside her husband and co-owner, Dennis Popperwell, Tammy is elevating excellence in North Texas real estate through a rebrand and office expansion. NextHome LoneStar Living’s two offices are the evolution of NextHome PropertyLink, which opened in Fort Worth in 2024.
“Expanding into Weatherford was a natural next step for us,” Tammy said. “My roots run deep in Parker County—we raised our boys here, and now some of our grandchildren attend school here. This is where city meets country and people come first, and that aligns perfectly with the kind of experience we want to bring to local buyers and sellers.”
Through a connected, collaborative, and growing team of 19 agents, NextHome LoneStar Living clients have access to some of the region’s best real estate expertise.

Tammy has been immersed in real estate since obtaining her license in 1985. For 25 years, she owned a home-building company. In addition to her new construction expertise, Tammy is a Luxury Certified REALTOR®, an Accredited Buyer’s Representative, and provides exceptional service for military relocations and veteran buyers.
As her career expanded, Tammy became a partner in a thriving new-home construction company and later launched a commercial construction firm. Together, these ventures completed more than 100 custom homes and oversaw major rebranding and build-outs for multiple locations of a national restaurant franchise. From 1996 to 2010, Tammy and her family also built and operated two convenience stores in Parker County. In addition, she successfully opened and managed two retail businesses in Tarrant County, where she was known for delivering exceptional customer service.
Eventually, Tammy returned to full-time residential real estate sales at a local brokerage. During this time, her passion for mentoring blossomed, and she reignited her love for helping people buy and sell homes.
Throughout her sales career, Tammy has developed a unique talent for navigating complex transactions, and she continues to feel great pride when overcoming challenges for her clients.
“I am very passionate about helping people,” Tammy said. “As a Realtor, there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a client’s joy and excitement when they receive the keys to their new home on closing day. That moment of joy is what this job is all about.”
Tammy’s extensive expertise in Texas real estate led to a leadership role as Director of Mentorship Training. To help agents build confidence and success, Tammy created an extensive agent manual used for internal training and as an ongoing resource.
In addition to supporting agents, she accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer, launching new back-end systems and providing elevated agent assistance.
With her vast industry experience, Tammy recognized that NextHome was the ideal partner to help her navigate what comes next in real estate. In 2024, she opened NextHome PropertyLink. Today, Tammy is taking her original office to the next level through this rebrand and expansion.
