Pleasanton, CA— August 7, 2017 — NextHome is proud to announce our latest addition to the franchise, NextHome Advantage Realty. The brokerage will represent the fourth NextHome franchise location opened in the state of Idaho. The company will be owned and operated by real estate broker, Janet Mowers.
Based out of Idaho Falls, NextHome Advantage Realty will provide residential sales, investment property, luxury home sales, first time home buyers, and relocation services to areas that include Idaho Falls, Rigby, Pocatello, Blackfoot, McCammon and the rest of eastern Idaho.
Located on the eastern border of Idaho, Idaho Falls is approximately 60 miles west of the Wyoming state border. Idaho Falls is home to nearly 60,000 residents, making it the third largest city in Idaho behind Boise and Coeur d’Alene.
Originally from the medical social worker field, Mowers started her real estate career in 2006 as an agent with Help-U-Sell Realty. After three years building her real estate sales career, she made the switch to an independent brokerage, Edge Realty, in 2009.
In 2012, Mowers joined a nationally franchised brokerage and served as a buyer’s agent for a large real estate team. It was there where she knew there was a better way to not only sell real estate, but lead others.
“My experience on a team led me to want to open my own brokerage,” recalls Mowers. “I saw an opportunity to create an environment of support and encouragement.”
In 2014, Mowers opened Mountain River Realty – a brokerage which she described as “all about first-class, personalized service through the whole process”.
“Mountain River Realty was a brokerage where agents were expected to provide the very best in real estate services, while treating each and every client like family,” added Mowers.
By having these standards, within just a few months, Mowers had seven agents join her newly formed brokerage. In fact, Mowers treated her clients so well during their real estate transactions, that two of them came on board to Mountain River Realty as agents.
While she grew the brokerage quickly, Mowers wanted to provide the best tools and services to her agents. She looked to align with a franchise in order to provide this.
“I was looking for a company that would give us better technology, better advertising and more exposure for our listings, in an affordable package,” said Mowers. “NextHome did exactly that.”
“I’m a believer of changing with the times or risk being obsolete,” added Mowers. “Millennials are representing more than 40% of our market’s home buyers and I want to have our agents on the cutting-edge of reaching and communicating with these buyers.”
Mowers not only runs a successful brokerage, but gives back to her community as well. She has served as the 2016 President of the Southeast Idaho Women’s Council of REALTORS®, as well as a Director for the Greater Idaho Falls Association of REALTORS®.
She is also a supporter of charities that provide service to military veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as working with grade school children and fostering leadership skills in youth.
When not selling real estate, she enjoys spends time with her husband of eight years, Henry.
