Hello! My name is Zach Kirby and I would love to assist you with any and all of your real estate needs. Being a ‘born and bred’ Midlands native I have an extensive background in most of the communities in and around our states capital city, including Lexington, Chapin, Irmo, Lake Murray, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, and downtown Columbia.
Born in Columbia but raised in Chapin, I have spent my entire life in and around the Midlands of South Carolina. The majority of my life experiences that have prepared me for my career in real estate came from working alongside my parents, who owned and operated an automotive repair business in Irmo for 38 years. Our family business was built on the principle that “people matter more than profit margins.” My first and only goal, in every transaction, is to meet the needs of my clients by serving them with honesty, respect, and integrity.
I started my career in real estate in 2013 when I began working in property management and apartment leasing during my time at the University of South Carolina. After graduating with my bachelors degree in 2016, I took a job as a middle school history teacher and ended up working for both the LexRich5 and the Lex2 school districts. I LOVED my time in the classroom but came to realize pretty quickly that I was called to serve others in the home buying/selling process. I obtained my real estate license in July of 2017 and, after teaching for two more years, left the classroom to become a full time real estate agent in June of 2019.
Surprisingly, the tools that I acquired from teaching have transferred well into the real estate world. A large majority of my job in real estate involves educating my clients through the home buying, selling, or investing process.
My ‘typical clients’ look a lot like young professionals looking to buy their first home; a young married couple looking to buy or sell their first home as they expand their family; military families who are looking to utilize their VA benefits to buy in and around Columbia; parents looking to invest in downtown Columbia real estate as they prepare to send their children to college; or families looking to take advantage of beautiful Lake Murray by buying a home on the water.
When I’m not working, you can find me serving my local community through my involvement at my church, Midtown Fellowship Church. I have been a member of Midtown since 2013. With our Serve the City initiative, I enjoy giving back to our community through our work with Ezekiel Ministries, Epworth Children’s Home, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital, Transitions (a local homeless ministry), and Home Work’s of America.

Zach made buying and selling so much easier than it should have been. His wisdom was unmatched as he found ways to keep us under contract as things popped up, his network to do repairs was unmatched and his kindness throughout the process was above and
beyond. I would never go through the real estate process with another agent!

There aren't enough great things I can say about Zach. I couldn't ask for a better home buying experience. From the start of my search, he worked with my complicated schedule, provided information on all the homes I was interested in and gave me honest
feedback about whether they truly matched what I was looking for, saving me a lot of time. He is knowledgeable about his industry in ways that I’ve never seen in other Realtors. This is my third home purchase, previously sold the two others. He’s always looking

I cannot thank Zach enough for all of his efforts during this process. I came to him in the early spring with the thought of purchasing a house next year. Zach took my husband and I through several different showings to fully understand what we were looking
for. He rode the roller coaster of indecisiveness and went back to several houses multiple times. In June I was notified that my lease was not being renewed and the pressure was on. Zach not only found us an amazing house in the neighborhood we currently live

Zach is very knowledgeable, efficient and down to earth. He not only found me a rental place last year, but also walked me through the first time buyer process and all its daunting aspects. He made the whole process very fluid and answered every question
I had and more. When I made the offer on the house I just bought, I was going to be out of the country during the majority of the buying process. He helped me schedule all the inspections, and even personally addressed a couple maintenance/ painting requirements
needed for my mortgage. Everyone in his team of professionals are very easy to talk to and empathetic. One of the professionals on his team even wrote me a personalized thank you letter for using their service. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend Zach
