Thomas Bechtold is the founder of the Thomas Bechtold Team at NextHome Capital Realty, leading a full-time team of eight real estate professionals with over 120 combined years of real estate experience. A second-generation Realtor®, Thomas quite literally grew up in the business, attending open houses alongside his mother and developing an early appreciation for homes, people, and community.

Born and raised in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Thomas is one of five siblings and a graduate of Cedar Crest High School. He also completed the Culinary Arts program at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center, which launched him into a career rooted in hospitality and service—values that continue to shape his approach to real estate today.

Before committing to real estate full-time, Thomas built a diverse professional background that includes hospitality management, auto sales, restaurant operations, and managing a bowling center. He still maintains a very part-time role with a local Hilton hotel, staying connected to the service industry that helped form his strong work ethic and people-first mindset.

Real estate was always the constant—and ultimately, the calling. Choosing it as his permanent career proved to be one of the best decisions he’s made. Thomas takes pride in building lasting relationships with clients, many of whom become lifelong friends. He is deeply involved in the local real estate community and currently serves as Treasurer of the Lebanon County Association of Realtors, while also contributing his time on several committees.

Outside of real estate, Thomas is a proud dog dad to Simon, Uncle Hank, and Aunt Helen, and family means everything to him. He has many nieces and nephews—including a great-nephew in Alaska—and an ever-growing circle of “adopted” nieces and nephews who reflect his natural tendency to care for and support others. Grounded in faith, family, and community, Thomas is passionate about helping people and delivering exceptional service—one relationship at a time.
