Margaret Ramsey
Margaret is an experienced REALTOR® who provides excellent, personalized real estate services to both buyers and sellers on the Peninsulas of Virginia. She markets homes through extensive, targeted internet exposure and monitors all forms of communication to ensure that her buyers do not miss "That Home", whether they are buying their first home, downsizing, or purchasing a luxury, waterfront property. Serving downsizing seniors and active and retired military clients are two of her passions.
Believing that both community and professional involvement, as well as continuing education, are vital to best serving her clients, Margaret serves the REALTOR® community at both the state and local levels and continuously participates in continuing educational opportunities. She is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of the Chesapeake Bay and River Property Services Board and continues to assist the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Virginia, of which she was State President in 2017. Margaret’s designations and certifications include Graduate of the Graduate REALTORS® Institute (GRI), Military Relocation Professional (GRI), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Military Relocation Professionals (MRP), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Performance Management Network (PMN), At Home with Diversity® (AHWD), and REALTORS® Commitment to Excellence (C2EX). She serves the local community as a docent at the Gloucester County Visitor’s Center and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Margaret was drawn to NextHome Real Estate due to their philosophy of “Humans Over Houses” and believes that buying and selling real estate, is a very personal. She listens carefully to truly individualize each client’s process for buying and/or selling. She empowers her clients by providing them with thoroughly researched market information and assists them through the process seamlessly. Should unusual circumstances arise, she handles them directly and efficiently, understanding that she provides resources, professional guidance, and information so that her clients can make informed decisions based on what is best for them.
When she is not working (or reading), Margaret loves spending time with her family exploring all the wonderful historic venues, hiking trails and beautiful rivers on the Peninsulas of Virginia.

Margaret doesn't want to sell, what ever house so she can make a commission. She wants you to find a "HOME". She worked patiently with myself and my husband for over 2 years until we found a home right for us. We told her what we wanted. She would a forward us listings 2 or 3 times a week. She also made sure the listenings she sent us were right in our price range. She did surprise me, because when we started looking at houses, we would walk in and she would point out things that we might have to watch out for, if we bought the house in question. She didn't hurry us up to choose a house so she can get an instant commission. She wanted to make sure the house was "right " for us.
Selling with Margaret
Since we had such a wonderful experience buying a home with Margaret, I decided to ask her to help me sell a piece of property. Not only did she list it, she did extensive research to make sure the asking price was fair and in accordance with several other factores. After 1 day listed, we had 3 offerers. I believe we settle with a month or two. She really gained my respect , because she did so much researching of every aspects of the property so it was sold for the right price.
Future with Margaret:
Moving forward , if any one in my family has any type of real estate transactions, we will only contact Margaret. Just like a Personal physician you might not want to loose, we have a personal real estate agent we don't want to loose. We can trust her 100% with any real estate dealing.
