Meet Renee
I was raised in the Vesper/Pittsville area on a 2nd generation cranberry marsh. After graduating from Lincoln High School I moved to Fort Campbell, KY to live the military life until that chapter came to a close and it was time to move back to my roots and raise a family. I was blessed to be a stay at home Mom for 10 years but when my youngest was almost 2, I had the desire to try something else.
In 2013 I became a licensed Realtor and Realtor Assistant to a local agent who has since retired. Being in that position, I was able to learn about all aspects and sides of many type’s of real estate transaction. I love working with people and being part of those life’s moments; even the difficult ones. Talking with client’s about their plans and dreams; whether buying or selling is what I love the most about my life.
Since then I have continued to grow and gain experience in all aspects of real estate. Learning and working with other Realtors in the area has helped me be a better Realtor and understand the importance of truly listening and getting to know your client’s. As a Realtor, I like to continue to learn and stay up to date on all the changes that occur in our local and state market, along with changing laws, procedures and new technology. In 2019 I earned my GRI designation (Graduate, Realtor Institute) which has given me new skills and knowledge when working with buyers and sellers.
With being a full-time licensed Realtor, I am able to show properties, negotiate offers, list properties and to be there when you need me and when it works for your schedule. I always love meeting people and learning about their wants and needs while earning their trust as we work through the buying or selling process together. I have made wonderful friendships throughout my years as a Realtor and I look forward to making many more!

Away from work when I have a spare moment, I love spending time with my husband, 4 kiddo’s, 3 step kiddo’s and 1 ADORABLE granddaughter whenever we can get them all together. I also enjoy various adventures on the river or UTV excursions with my husband. Aside from that when I’m not cleaning up dog hair from our two ginormous labs, I love creating projects for my husband and I to do around the house which never seem to end.
Meet Tonya
Ten years ago I started an adventure that taught me a lot about community, friendship, family and culture. I took a leap and moved to Alaska at the age of 20. A few years later, and 5 moves between rentals and first time home ownership it was time to move again. This time my family ventured to Montana, where once again we needed to build new friendships, find a new ‘family’ and learn a whole new community.
The military lifestyle was one that forced you to constantly build new friendships, a pseudo family and throw yourself into a new community. Four moves later I found myself back in my hometown, Wisconsin Rapids. This move was to get my kids and myself closer to family. The kids enjoy having family around to take them tubing, hunting, fishing and watch them play sports. I love having the extra help when I want to spend a day or two out in the woods hunting, golfing, PACKER GAMES, or enjoying one of the great bands that come into town.
The years of moving around from state to state lead me to truly understand how hard a move can be, but how smooth it is when you have the right people helping.
In 2019, Renee Anderson and I partnered up and we became Legacy Realty at NextHome Partners. Renee and I are looking forward to all the adventures, both good and bad, that arise in the buying and selling process. Our goal is to provide “Customer Care Beyond Compare”. The home we purchased was a "second Home/vacation home" so things were mostly done remotely by me, meaning Tonya Olson did the work without close contact with me or my wife. She was always very responsive to my questions and made contacts for me, thus
saving several trips. The transaction went smoothly and we had no problems or issues. I highly recommend Legacy Realty and especially Tonya Olson.

Wow, where do we even start.... We first found out we were moving when Melissa received a call on a Friday afternoon in early June stating that she was being offered employment at a local school district. We put our toddler in our car after work and off
we went to the Wisconsin Rapids area to look for a place to live. Coming from La Crosse, we knew we wanted to be closer to my family in Rapids, but we didn't know if I would get a transfer to this UPS hub, how much moving was going to cost, whether or not
we would find childcare before the school year started, etc. Suffice it to say, we were MOTIVATED buyers. After combing through Zillow on the 2 hour drive, we found a dozen houses that we loved. Melissa called all of them and left voicemails on many answering
machines in order to get us showings of the properties that weekend. We spoke to several agents who seemed to be frustrated that they had to take time out of their weekends to help us. Many suggested that we come back during the week, which was not a possibility
for us as we worked several hours away and could not take off of work. Brian was the second realtor who showed us a property that Friday, and we refused to work with anyone but him. Not only did he answer all of our frantic texts, emails and phone calls with
assurances, answers, and patience, he also walked us through EVERY part of the process. We were first time homeowners and not "street savvy" in the home-buying process. Even the mortgage lending officer we worked with was not as knowledgeable and willing to
help us as Brian was. If he didn't know the answer to the question, he contacted the seller and anyone he could think of who might know the answer. We both agreed that, without Brian's help, the process would have been a disaster. We had already lost out on
all of the 12 properties we had found on Zillow before the weekend was over, so we had to move quickly. We came back up to Rapids the following weekend to look at more properties and ended up finding the house of our dreams. Because of Brian, we were able
to close on August 23rd, just before the school year started! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to Brian Hanson, Renee, and the rest of the NextHome family that made our 8-year journey towards home-ownership a reality.
As a first time seller, I am very appreciative of the thorough explanation of the selling process. Brian was great to work with and always was very prompt in answering questions, going the extra mile at times. The staff is very pleasant and helpful also.
