 -From A Small Town Farm Girl to a Realtor with Big Dreams of Success

Growing up in a small coastal town in Mississippi, Shawna always knew she was going to grow up to be a businesswoman. After many years of PTA Shawna’s children grew up, and she realized she was meant to do more than only volunteer her time. Moving to Kentwood, Louisiana in 2005, started a fire within her heart to be the success she always thought she could be. Gears began to turn in her head as she began to realize the life and future she wanted. 

At the age of 29, Shawna began to develop her love for real estate, as she embarked on her first real estate flip in 2007. That’s when she knew that she was destined to find her next project to continue to enhance the community that she lives in . This new found love for home remodeling, drove her into a real estate career. 

In her first year of real estate, she was the recipient of the 2010 Sandy Lash Scholarship for Continuing Education. This scholarship gave her the knowledge to succeed in her career to this day. It afforded her the ability to continue her education and pursue the following awarded designations:

ABR- Accredited Buyer’s Representative 

e-PRO® Certification

SRS-Seller Representative Specialist Designation

SRES- Seniors Real Estate Specialist® Designation

SRF-Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource 

GRI- Graduate Realtor Institute

Not only has she received numerous designations, she has the awards to stack. Over the past twelve years she has received the following awards:

When she isn’t making home selling and buying dreams come true, Shawna enjoys drinking way too much coffee and camping. She loves going to Swamp Pop Music Festivals and traveling to see her daughters and family. She enjoys finding antiques and collecting crystal and flying pigs. 

Outside of her real estate accomplishments, she has managed to raise two amazing daughters, who support her through every journey she takes. She has purchased and flipped multiple homes, and manages her own rental properties.
