Jo has been in the real estate business for over 35 years, licensed in Georgia since 2005 and attained her Broker designation in 2011. During this time Jo also held a Registered Appraiser license and although Jo is no longer an active appraiser, she makes good use of her appraisal background to provide reports on current valuations of homes in the luxury market, ensuring her clients can rest easy that they are getting the best value in a luxury home.

Jo is a Resort and Second Home Specialist and also holds the prestigious Accredited Buyer Representative designation. She is diligent about prioritizing and protecting her client’s interests in every transaction from beginning to end. Jo has built a team of trusted real estate service professionals, attorneys, mortgage lenders, home inspectors, contractors etc. that she can call on at any time to provide her clients with the expertise that is needed to facilitate a seamless and smooth home buying experience.

Jo is a member of the prestigious Residential Real Estate Council under the designation CRS. She is also a member of the Real Estate Staging Association, RESA.  When listing a home Jo has extensive experience from determining the value of your home, staging the home for maximum impact and greater value, to selecting the best professionals from her trusted team to achieve a successful conclusion.  

Jo recently celebrated her 44th wedding anniversary with husband Jim, a former Navy Commanding Officer of Fighter Squadron 202 flying F-14’s. Jim is also a retired 767 International Captain with Delta Airlines and is now flying with NetJets. He is also owner of the Lake Country’s largest vacation rental company, St James Vacation Homes. Jo and Jim are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters: Leah is a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with a Doctorate in Nursing Practices, Chelsea, a pilot at American Airlines and mom to dashingly handsome son Oliver, and Tiffany is the owner of Cabana, a vacation rental firm based in Jacksonville, Florida. 

Jo believes deeply in supporting the community that has been so good to her family and so she is an active member of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce and a frequent supporter of Greensboro First United Methodist Church Pre-School, the Lake Oconee Academy Tees for Titans annual golf tournament and her company is an annual sponsor for the Mansfield Oil Golf Tournament, which raises thousands of dollars each year for Muscular Dystrophy Association. When they are not spending time with family, Jo and Jim enjoy time out on the lake and taking care of their five rescue dogs.
