Tim Brown
Real estate has been part of my life since I was young. My mom began investing in residential properties and later encouraged me to do the same. We learned together by looking at deals, working through renovations, asking questions, making mistakes, and gradually figuring out what made a property worth buying.
That experience shaped the way I look at real estate today. Long before becoming an agent, I was already thinking about homes in terms of condition, cost, potential, design, and long-term value.
For the past 17 years, I have worked as a civil engineer, with experience in land development, infrastructure, flood risk management, and environmental restoration. Engineering taught me to look beyond first impressions, study the details, and make decisions based on facts. I bring that same mindset to real estate while relying on the appropriate inspectors, contractors, engineers, and other specialists when technical expertise is needed.
I am also an active residential real estate investor. Over the years, I have purchased, renovated, rented, managed, and sold homes. That experience has given me firsthand knowledge of renovation budgets, contractor decisions, tenant issues, operating costs, and the difference between a property that looks good on paper and one that actually makes sense for your finances, goals, and lifestyle.
My approach is straightforward: communicate clearly, give honest advice, and help clients think through the tradeoffs before making a major decision.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me staying active, exploring architecture, great interior spaces, and the details that make a house feel like home.
