Pleasanton, CA — July 23, 2026 — NextHome is proud to announce Shannon Meadows as the new owner of NextHome Preview Properties, based in Mount Vernon, Washington.
Since 2018, this diverse team of experienced agents has been serving clients throughout Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties.

“This is an incredibly talented group of professionals, and I am excited to support them, help reignite their passion for this work, and empower every agent to lean into their unique strengths,” Shannon said. “Whether you specialize in property management, you’ve been an agent for 20 or 30 years and are approaching retirement, or you’re one of the newest members of our team, everyone will have a sense of home at NextHome Preview Properties.”
Melissa Pilcher, previous managing broker and owner, will continue to serve as the office’s managing broker and team lead for NW House Hunters. Eric Olson, owner of Preview Rentals located within NextHome Preview Properties, provides property management consultation and expertise.
Well-known regional agents and previous owners, Marty and Jasmine Loberg, remain connected to the brokerage. Shannon’s ownership allows them to refocus their attention on their clients and family.
As a full-time broker/owner, Shannon is a consistently available resource for agents.
“I don’t have to split my attention between selling homes and running the office,” Shannon said. “My job is to be there for my agents. When they need support, I’m here.”
The office’s experienced professionals provide a full range of real estate services, including single-family residential sales, first-time homebuyer representation, fix-and-flip properties, investment properties, commercial real estate, second and vacation homes, property management, and land transactions.
The team serves buyers and sellers throughout Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, Anacortes, La Conner, Oak Harbor, Bow, Lyman, Concrete, and the surrounding communities of northwestern Washington.
Located about an hour north of Seattle, Mount Vernon is the largest city in Skagit County and is home to more than 36,000 residents.
It is also the place where Shannon was born and raised.
“As I start this new ownership journey, I’m rediscovering how much I love the Skagit Valley,” Shannon said. “The mountains, the lakes—it’s all so beautiful. I used to think I needed to travel to live my life, but now I’m seeing life here through a whole different meaning, while going out and enjoying the area or even as simple as on my drive to work. I still enjoy traveling but I’ve recently realized that every day living here is as wonderful as you make it.”
Shannon has been a local small business owner for more than two decades. As the owner of Sweetpea Memories Photography, she spent 15 years capturing families’ most precious moments. In 2020, Shannon began working for Eric Olson at Preview Rentals, a local property management company. Eric is also an accomplished NextHome agent.
“While I thought I would start in an administrative role, simply handling paperwork, Eric encouraged me to learn every aspect of the real estate business,” Shannon said. “He believed that if I wanted to be exceptional, I needed to understand real estate inside and out. So I really dug in and learned as much as I could.”
Shannon obtained her real estate sales license in 2020.
“There was a lot of 5 a.m. studying behind the scenes while working and homeschooling my children,” Shannon said. “As a single mom, that was definitely a challenge. But no challenge seems too big once I set my mind to it.”
Her unstoppable work ethic led Shannon to earn her managing broker’s license in 2026.
Today, Shannon is excited to take NextHome Preview Properties to the next level of excellence. Assuming an ownership role is an opportunity to build on the brokerage’s long-standing reputation while creating an environment where every agent feels supported, valued, and inspired to do their best work.
“We’re building an office where everyone collaborates, grows, and succeeds together—not as separate divisions, but as one team,” Shannon said. “I want to bring back the sense of community with regular office events and opportunities for our agents to connect. We’ve already started transforming the office by replacing the traditional cubicle-style layout with collaborative work pods where agents can work independently or brainstorm together. The response has been incredible, and it’s exciting to see everyone embracing this new energy.”
“Helping people feel like they belong is the biggest thing,” Shannon added. “When people feel supported, they can focus on helping buyers and sellers succeed.”
As NextHome Preview Properties looks toward the future, Shannon hopes the brokerage becomes known not only for its experienced real estate professionals, but also for creating a welcoming culture where agents collaborate, continue learning, and genuinely enjoy serving their community.
“I want people to know that we’re building something special,” Shannon said. “This office is alive, our agents are excited, and we’re creating a place where people feel supported, inspired, and proud of their workplace.”
Please join us in congratulating Shannon and the entire team at NextHome Preview Properties!
