Pleasanton, CA — July 9, 2026 — NextHome is proud to announce the expansion of NextHome Discover with a second office in Madawaska, Maine. The expansion builds on the success of NextHome Discover’s Presque Isle location, which opened in 2020.
Located in northern Maine near the Canadian border, NextHome Discover (Madawaska) offers residential and commercial real estate services throughout Aroostook County, including Presque Isle, Caribou, Houlton, Fort Kent, Madawaska, and Fort Fairfield.
NextHome Discover is owned by the husband-and-wife team of Dan and Courtney Castle.
“We want every family in Aroostook County to have access to honest, high-quality real estate professionals who put people before transactions,” Dan said. “The communities we serve have given so much to us, and we believe it’s our responsibility to give back in return. We want to make a positive impact, not just by helping people buy and sell homes, but by elevating the standard for real estate service across our region.”
High-achieving real estate professional Mindy Braley leads the Madawaska office.
“Opening an office in Madawaska has been a fantastic decision,” Courtney added. “Mindy was already a high-volume agent, but she’s now consistently leading the county in sales.”
The expansion was a natural outgrowth of the brokerage’s continued success and the growth of its high-performing agents. In 2025, NextHome Discover became the number one brokerage in Aroostook County by unit count and sales volume. The brokerage continues to hold a commanding lead in local sales in 2026.

While exceptional service has fueled NextHome Discover’s growth, the brokerage also stands out for its innovative marketing, including services that were relatively new to northern Maine just a few years ago.
Dan became one of the area’s early adopters of drone photography and videography, earning his drone license while continually expanding the brokerage’s in-house media capabilities. Today, Courtney oversees the company’s professional video production while Dan captures aerial footage, allowing the team to create compelling marketing materials without relying on outside vendors.
Since joining the ownership team in 2023, Courtney has become a vital part of the company’s leadership and now serves as an associate broker.
Over the past three years, she has managed transaction coordination, reviewed contracts, overseen daily office operations, and helped guide the brokerage through a period of extraordinary growth.
As they look to the future, Dan and Courtney’s vision extends well beyond opening more locations. Their long-term goal is to ensure that clients across northern Maine have access to knowledgeable, ethical real estate professionals.
“My goal has always been to have one office way up north, one in the center of the county, and one in southern Aroostook,” Dan said. “But more importantly, our goal has always been to elevate real estate in this county by doing things differently.”
As lifelong residents of Aroostook County, Dan and Courtney have made community involvement a central part of their brokerage’s identity. The team recently built dugouts for their son’s Little League program, sponsors youth soccer, basketball, and baseball teams throughout the year, supports Ducks Unlimited conservation efforts, and regularly contributes to local schools and nonprofit organizations.
“The more successful our business is, the more we can give back,” Courtney said. “We both grew up in Aroostook County. This is our home, so it’s meaningful to invest back into the communities that have given us so much.”
“There’s nothing like hearing an entire grandstand chanting, ‘Let’s go, NextHome!’ while local kids enjoy playing basketball,” Courtney added.
“I want someone to be able to pick up the phone and call us and know they’re going to be in good hands,” Dan said. “They’re going to get honesty. They’re going to know we’re looking out for them. That’s the difference we’re trying to make.”
