Through a talented team of expert agents, NextHome Coast & Country offers sweeping expertise in residential real estate throughout southern Alabama – from the coast to the country.
The brokerage serves clients throughout Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley, Fairhope, Daphne, Spanish Fort, Loxley, Robertsdale, Elberta, Lillian, Summerdale, Monroeville, Atmore, Mobile, and the remainder of Washington, Monroe, and Escambia counties.
NextHome Coast & Country serves a variety of real estate transaction types, including military relocation, investment, vacation homes, waterfront, land, first-time home buying, and more.
Under the leadership of broker/owner Amy Slade, NextHome Coast & Country clients have a trusted partner and knowledgeable advocate in their corner.
A former military spouse, Amy has been helping families find homes since obtaining her real estate license in 2010. However, her knowledge and passion for Southern real estate have been growing since Amy was a child.
“My mom says that when I was five, I’d sit glued to the Coldwell Banker show every Sunday morning—even though it meant she had to pry me away just to get me to Sunday school on time,” Amy recalled. “By the time I was seven or eight, I was studying floor plan books for fun, and everyone thought I’d become an architect. Every time we’d go out to eat in Athens, Georgia, I’d grab one of those free real estate magazines and study the market. I knew the price per square foot, the neighborhoods, everything. I just couldn’t get enough.”
Amy went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Human Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Although she obtained her Georgia real estate license immediately after college, Amy spent the next several years developing a deep understanding of what it meant to be a military spouse, always navigating another move.
After settling down in Alabama in 2009, Amy used her experience and real estate talent to help numerous families successfully buy and sell houses. Her unparalleled professionalism not only helped military families but also investors, first-time homebuyers, and more.
“I realize how rare it is to know exactly what you want to do and end up in the perfect career,” Amy said. “Real estate is what I was always meant to do, and I get to live my dream.”
Amy quickly became a top producer and earned numerous sales volume awards. After working with different nationally franchised offices, Amy discovered NextHome in 2022. As an agent and office co-owner, Amy took her professionalism to the next level. Alongside brokerage co-owner and friend, Ginny Stopa, Amy propelled the franchise to the top NextHome office in the state–and top 15 in the nation.
When the opportunity came to step out and purchase her own franchise, Amy knew that NextHome was an unparalleled partner.
“Hands down, NextHome has the best member services team in real estate,” Amy said. “When you call the corporate offices asking a question or needing support, I never feel like just a number. Even with hundreds of offices and thousands of agents, NextHome makes everyone feel like we are known by name and our questions deserve their full attention.”
That personalized approach to real estate defines Amy’s client service.
“One of my core beliefs is that real estate is all about relationships,” Amy said. “The transaction might end, but my commitment never does.”
Amy’s lifelong commitment has created a business built on repeat clients. She is thrilled to have helped people find not only their first home, but also with their next steps in their home buying journey.
“That repeat business is like nothing else,” Amy said. “For me, real estate isn’t about a single transaction—it’s about a lifelong relationship. Once you’re my client, I’m here to help for life.”
As she continues to grow NextHome Coast & Country, Amy is partnering with agents who share her same level of commitment to relationships-based real estate.
“It’s really important to me that people know we serve all of South Alabama—and we do it with the highest level of professionalism,” Amy said. “No matter where you are, you can count on us to deliver top-notch service every step of the way.”
Amy brings both expertise and heart to everything she does. As an active member of the Baldwin Realtors Professional Development Committee, she stays deeply involved in her MLS Board and keeps up with the latest industry changes, designations, and legal updates to better serve her clients. Outside of real estate, Amy is passionate about giving back to her community through her church, City Hope, where she regularly participates in outreach programs. Amy also volunteers with the local food bank, Prodisee Pantry, and the local animal shelter.
Please join us in congratulating Amy on the opening of NextHome Coast & Country in Gulf Shores, Alabama!
