Pleasanton, CA— May 2, 2017 NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Altitude. The new brokerage is the 6th NextHome franchise location opened in the state of Colorado.

Based out of Denver, NextHome Altitude will service the local communities of Aurora, Boulder, Erie, Lafayette, Broomfield and the remainder of the greater Denver Metropolitan area.

The City of Denver is the most populated city in the state of Colorado with nearly 3 million residents.

Owned and operated by real estate broker, Rob Barber, the brokerage will provide sales services for residential, luxury properties, investment properties, first-time home buyers, and second & vacation homes.

Licensed since 2015, Barber started his real estate career after nearly 15 years in the field of Sports and Clinical Massage Therapy. Although he enjoyed his career as a therapist, the physical toll of the job meant it was time for a change.

“I wanted to start a career where I could continue to be in a relationship-based business, yet still have the independence to be my own boss,” recalls Barber. “Real estate was the perfect fit for me.”

Barber began selling real estate under a local independent broker, while finishing out his obligations in physical therapy. Even though he was only selling part time, Barber sold enough transactions in 2015 to feel confident enough to make the jump into real estate full time.

In 2016, he doubled his sales volume and his sales in 2017 has him on pace to exceed $6 million in sales volume.

In late 2016, Barber’s view of the industry was very different than what he thought it should be.

“I kept seeing people focused on personal branding rather than promoting the home they were hired to list and sell,” said Barber. “It was the catalyst for me to start my own brokerage. I wanted to create an experience for buyers and sellers which had them as the focus, rather than the agent.”

“I knew that a franchise model would allow me to start my brokerage and not have to re-invent the wheel,” added Barber. “NextHome provided the opportunity for me to run my brokerage focused on world-class service, rather than trying to find technology and tools that work for my clients. NextHome has done that for me.”

In addition to real estate, Barber volunteers his time as a Board Member of the Greater Park Hill Community where their focus is providing meals and low income housing for the disadvantaged residents of Denver. He also sits on the Advisory Board for a charity called A Precious Child – where the group focuses on providing families with diapers, back to school supplies and/or anything related to helping parents provide a good experience for their children when they cannot afford to do so themselves.

When Barber is not selling real estate, he spends time his husband, John, and their two-year-old daughter, Emma. Like many parents of a two-year old, the couple spend time with Emma at the zoo, hiking, camping and living an active Colorado lifestyle.

Please join us in welcoming Rob and the rest of his team at NextHome Altitude for the opening of their new NextHome office!
