Pleasanton, CA — July 10, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Leading Edge Realty. The brokerage represents the 19th location opened in the state of Texas for the NextHome franchise.

The office will be owned and operated by top-producing broker Tomas (Tom) Landin.

NextHome Leading Edge Realty will provide real estate services to buyers and sellers such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, luxury, leases, and land deals for areas of Bulverde, Boerne, Universal City, Live Oak, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Lockhart, San Marcos, and the remainder of the San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area. Additionally, the company will provide services in both English and Spanish.

Located in the central part of Texas, San Antonio is the second most populated city in the state with more than 2.4 million residents within the metropolitan area. From 2000-2010, San Antonio was one of the ten fastest growing cities in the United States.

Before real estate, Tom lived with his wife, Lourdes Aguilar, in California during the 1990’s. It was during his time in California when the couple bought their first home. It was the purchasing experience that had Tom frustrated by the process and he knew there should have been a better way.

“When we bought our house, we thought we would be represented much better than we were by our real estate professional,” said Tom. “When we relocated to Texas in 1994, not having proper representation when we bought it posed some challenges for us during the resale.”

“I’m originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico and the way we sell homes there is very different from the United States, so I really researched the U.S. way of selling homes,” he added.

In 1998, Tom started his real estate career part time with a local independent brokerage, while helping his parents’ advertising company. Assisting in the sales and graphic design with the company, he picked up a lot of experience with marketing and consumer relations.

In 2008, Tom decided to pursue real estate full time with a focus on commercial real estate. He connected with a 35-year veteran in commercial real estate who became his mentor. She encouraged Tom to receive his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

“As a CCIM, I really gained a lot of knowledge in the field which, in turn, allowed me to serve my clients at a high level,” said Tom. “I enjoyed learning more about my industry, so I continued with my designations.”

In addition to the CCIM, Tom also attained his Accredited Buyers Representation (ABR) and Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR) designations.

Thinking back to his poor experience as a home buyer in California, Tom decided to add residential sales to his suite of services provided for his clients. He wanted to provide proper representation to buyers and sellers.

In 2012, he opened Landin Realtors, which was a full-service residential brokerage. One year later, he brought on his first agent – a 20-year real estate veteran.

In 2017, Tom looked to add more real estate services to provide to his clientele. As a detailed researcher, Tom found NextHome to be the company that would allow his business to flourish.

“I was strictly a referral-based business, so I was looking for a solution to help me gain new market share,” said Tom. “NextHome’s platform was exactly what I needed to gain new clients.”

On a personal note, Tom and Lourdes have been married for 31 years and have two daughters – Natalia (age 20), a college student, and Madeleine (age 14) who will be starting her first year of high school in the fall.

Pleasanton, CA — June 27, 2018 — NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome Integrity Group. The brokerage represents the 18th location opened in the state of Texas for the NextHome franchise.

The office will be owned and operated by top-producing REALTOR® Jon Baker.

NextHome Integrity Group will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, investment, luxury, short sales, land deals for areas of Fort Worth, Saginaw, Keller, North Richland Hills, Hurst, Bedford, Euless, and the remainder of Tarrant, Denton, Wise, and Parker counties.

Located adjacent to Dallas, the city of Fort Worth is home to nearly 900,000 residents.  Fort Worth is the 15th largest city in the United States and the second largest of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area.

Before Jon began his real estate career, he spent years working in supermarkets as a manager of the meat department. Although his hard work and dedication to his career afforded him various leadership opportunities, Jon decided to go in a different direction due to the long, 70+ hours a week at the store.

“Right after college, I had a strong interest in going into real estate,” said Jon. “The career took me elsewhere, but after leaving supermarket management, I thought it would be the perfect time to return to my passion for real estate.”

In 2003, Jon followed through in getting his real estate license and started at Century 21 Mike Bowman, Inc in Euless, TX. He earned Rookie of the Year in his first full year, selling 22 homes in eight months.

Over the next five years, Jon averaged 60+ transactions a year with a high point of 96 homes in a single 12-month period.

In 2009, he moved his license to a small independent brokerage where he could focus on his own real estate sales, but he found himself alone and without guidance from his brokerage.

“Even though I went to a company where I was able to focus on my own business, I feel that not having an active broker push me and encourage my growth as a REALTOR® might have hurt me in the long run,” said Jon. “I wanted to be at a workplace where support would be offered.”
Knowing what he would like to see in a brokerage, Jon went out on his own. He opened his own brokerage Integrity First Real Estate in 2015.

While he was ready to help and tutor other agents, Jon knew he needed more services to provide his agents to give them the support they needed.

After looking at several franchises, Jon found NextHome through a simple Google search. Once he investigated about the franchise, he found NextHome to be head and shoulders above the rest.

“With the branding, technology, training, franchise support… there was only one company that I found myself wanting to be with,” said Jon.

Jon gives back to the real estate community as well. He currently sits on the Government Affairs Committee for the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®. The committee interviews political candidates before the elections and determines which candidates have like-minded thoughts regarding housing and other REALTOR® issues and solutions on how to solve those problems.

When not selling real estate, Jon focuses on family. He has been married for 27 years to his wife Camille. The couple have four children – Abby (age 20), Katie (17), Matt (15) and nine-month old daughter Rebecca.

Pleasanton, CA – February 15, 2018- NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome CORE Realty. The brokerage represents the 16th location opened in the state of Texas and the 250th franchised location overall for the NextHome franchise.

Based in Lubbock, the company will be owned and operated by real estate broker Tim Garrett, along with his wife Janet. Tim is the broker of record and will handle the day-to-day operations for the company, while Janet will handle all administrative responsibilities for the brokerage.

NextHome CORE Realty will provide real estate services such as single-family residential sales, first-time home buyers, multi-family properties, new construction, luxury, and land sales to the areas of Lubbock, Wolfforth, Idalou, Slaton, and the remainder of Lubbock County.

With a population of nearly 300,000 in the Lubbock metropolitan area, the city of Lubbock is known as the “Hub of the South Plains.” Two little known facts about the area are that more cotton is grown in West Texas than anywhere in the world and that there are more music venues per capita than anywhere in Texas – including Austin.

Licensed since 1984, Tim brings more than three decades of real estate experience to the NextHome franchise. Spending the last 22 years with WestMark Realtors in Lubbock, Tim was minority owner, office manager and in charge of the day-to-day operations of the 85-agent brokerage.

Janet entered real estate in 2012 after a career as a grade school teacher. As Tim’s business grew to the point of needing help, Janet stepped in and provided the assistance needed to retain the high level of service to their clients.

In mid-2017, Tim and Janet felt that it was time to go out on their own and start their real estate company. They began looking and researching about franchises when they came upon the NextHome franchise.

“As we looked into NextHome, we found many of the core beliefs of the franchise aligned with our core beliefs,” recalled Tim. “Once we decided to move forward, we felt the name NextHome CORE Realty was perfect for what we believe in and the company that we became a part of.”

Tim describes their brokerage as having four CORE principles: Trust, Integrity, High-Level Marketing, and Creating Friends and Clients for Life.

In addition to real estate sales, Tim gives back to the real estate industry. With more than 25 years in volunteer REALTOR® leadership, Tim has served as the Chair for every committee at the Lubbock Association of REALTORS® and in 1997, he served as President for the Association.

Tim currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Texas Association of REALTORS® – representing over 120,000 REALTORS®.

Tim and Janet have been married seven years and have a blended family of four children – daughters Tiffany (age 26), Baylee (19), Darcy (16), and one son, Storm (20).

Based in San Angelo, the company will be owned and operated by business partners Rick Hanby and Will Barnes. NextHome Legends Realty will provide real estate services such as single family residential sales, first-time home buyers, multi-family properties, land and ranch sales, military and veteran relocation, and investment sales to the areas of San Angelo, Christoval, Wall, Grape Creek, and the remainder of Tom Green County.

Located in the center of the state of Texas, San Angelo is home to just over 110,000 residents. The city has a large military and veteran presence with Goodfellow Air Force Base being a central part of the community.

Barnes started his real estate career in 2008 with a local independent real estate brokerage with the intention to fix and flip properties part time. After selling 15 houses in his first year as a part-time agent, he transitioned to full time in 2011 and has been a top producer ever since – selling more than $7 million in volume annually.

Hanby started his career in 2012 when he opened Hanby Realty. A top-producing broker himself, Hanby sells more than $6 million annually.

After meeting Barnes at the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP), Hanby knew he wanted to work with him.

Hanby and his wife, Michelle, have been married for seven years. The couple have three children between the two of them – daughters Catherine (age 24), Christina (age 22), and Scarlett (age 3). Hanby enjoys playing poker and rehabbing properties.

Barnes has been married for 13 years to his wife, Tammy. They have three children – son Hayden (age 11) and twin girls Presley and Ella (age 8). Barnes is an avid basketball player and is the basketball coach for Hayden’s youth league. He also is the Sunday school teacher at his local church for 3rd/4th grade.

Based in Magnolia, the company will be owned and operated by REALTOR® Shelley Galloway. NextHome 1st Choice Realty will provide real estate services such as single family residential sales, first-time home buyers, land sales, relocation, veteran purchases, commercial sales and leasing, and new construction sales to the areas of Magnolia, Montgomery, Plantersville, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Spring, Conroe, and the remainder of the Montgomery County.

Located in the Northwest Houston area, the city of Magnolia is home to just under 2,000 residents. This Montgomery County city was named after the many magnolia trees that grew in the area.

Galloway started her real estate career in 2000 and started at a local small independent real estate brokerage. After four years selling homes, she stepped away from residential real estate sales and moved to selling large franchised daycares, home health care facilities and manufacturing companies.

In 2009, the national real estate market hit record lows, causing hundreds of thousands of real estate professionals, like Galloway, to adjust and pivot into a different market. Over the next eight years, she moved over to executive sales working for a firm before returning to real estate in 2017.

“My husband and I own a water well company and over the past few years, many of the homeowners we worked with were beginning the process of selling their homes,” said Galloway. “Many of these homeowners didn’t have a REALTOR® to work with. It was the perfect opportunity for me to return to my passion of real estate.”

After weighing her options of a brokerage that she could work at, Galloway decided to not join a brokerage, but rather open her own real estate company.

“I initially had no interest in opening a franchised brokerage,” recalls Galloway. “But after finding out more about the NextHome model, I spoke with my broker-of-record and business partner, Jon Elliot, and told him to check out the franchise. We were both sold on what the company had to offer.”

“NextHome 1st Choice Realty will be a brokerage where agents will have a great, supportive work environment where everyone is treated equally,” said Galloway. “I want to provide the support that allows our agents to earn more and provide more for their families.”

Galloway not only sells homes in Magnolia and the surrounding area, but donates her time helping the community. She has spent time helping at the Montgomery County Food Bank providing resources to the those in need.

Based in College Station, the company will be owned and operated by real estate broker, Jennifer Jennings. NextHome Realty Solutions BCS will provide real estate services such as single family residential sales, first-time home buyers, land sales, custom homes, farm & ranch listings, and new construction sales to the areas of Brazos, Burleson, Grimes and Roberson counties.

The city of College Station is located equal distance between Austin, Dallas, and Houston. The city of 120,000 residents is home to Texas A&M University. In 2006, the city was named the “most educated city in the United States” by Money Magazine.

After a career as an elementary school teacher, Jennings entered the real estate field in 2003 with Century 21 in College Station. In her first year, she was named the Top Rookie Agent in the entire Bryan-College Station area with over 25 closings.

Over the course of the next 14 years, Jennings has continued to be a top producing agent. With annual sales of more than 60 transactions, Jennings has earned the trust of her community as the go-to real estate expert. NextHome Premier Choice will help buyers and sellers in all areas of Metropolitan Dallas-Fort Worth – including Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Prosper.

Cummins’ leadership background stems from nearly a decade of experience as a Team Leader under the Keller Williams brokerage system. Owned and operated by 13-year real estate veteran, Juniat (pronounced june-it) Thomas, the brokerage will provide residential real estate sales services to the Greater Houston metropolitan area including Pearland, Sugar Land, Bellaire, West University Place, Cypress, The Woodlands, Katy, Friendswood, Deer Park, Pasadena, and Spring.

Thomas was introduced to the real estate industry merely out of curiosity. As a manager of a massage therapy school, the owner of the spa had interest in purchasing a new location. He asked Thomas to do the research to find out what it would take to find and purchase the new location. Thomas, being a quick study, found out everything he could about real estate purchases and found himself wanting to learn more about the business.

Pleasanton, CA— April 27, 2015 NextHome is proud to announce our newest addition to the franchise, NextHome CityModerne. The brokerage is the first NextHome franchise in the state of Texas.

Owned and operated by three partners Brandon Rodriguez, Randy Mann, and Tyler Rodriguez, the Dallas-based brokerage is dedicated to serving the needs of clients in Dallas, Highland Park, Garland, Plano, McKinney, and the North Texas area. With the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area being the fourth most populated area in the United States with nearly 7 million residents, NextHome has now entered one of the largest cities in the country.

Starting his real estate career in 2003, Brandon Rodriguez quickly immersed himself into his new venture. He joined a large, successful independent brokerage that had a lot of veterans, but no one to mentor a newer agent like himself.

“I remember the feeling of being lost in the shuffle,” said Brandon Rodriguez. “I realized that there was no assistance, no mentoring, and no training. It was so frustrating because I put in a lot of effort to try to be successful, but no one was there to help me. I knew that if I were to ever own my own brokerage, I would make sure to help those that needed it.”

He left that brokerage six months after starting and went on to begin a successful sales career. His dedication to working long hours, his commitment to new technology and his personal connection with his clients is what set Brandon apart from his competition.

Using advanced technology was an important factor for Brandon, so much so, that he was the winner of the National Association of REALTORS® Center for Real Estate Technology Award in 2009 and was the first agent in the United States to receive this honor.

Later in 2009, Brandon decided to get his broker’s license and open his own brokerage – Brandon Michael & Associates. It made sense to do so, since he wasn’t satisfied with his previous company’s tech abilities and focus on creating a great client experience.

As his brokerage business grew, Brandon added two new partners to the company – high school friend Randy Mann and Brandon’s husband, Tyler.

The three business owners had their own focus on unique parts of the brokerage. Randy handled the accounting and financial portion of the business. Tyler handled all marketing for their listings, and Brandon worked with the buyers and sellers. This led to turning what was a small brokerage into a booming business.

In January 2015, Brandon was working online late at night, and did a Google search real estate franchise. That’s where he found NextHome.

“Let me start with the feeling that I got from the second I started researching the NextHome brand,” said Brandon. “You could tell that there was a lot of care and thought put into the development of the brand and of the company. As I dug deeper into the company and found out more about the team and the philosophy behind NextHome’s value proposition, it totally aligned with the way we developed our brokerage.”
