NextHome is Acquired by eXp World Holdings, Inc., Expanding Opportunities for Brokers, Agents, and Clients Nationwide

Pleasanton, CA — May 7, 2026 — NextHome, Inc., a leading real estate franchise, today announced it has been acquired by eXp World Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGNT), marking an exciting new chapter for the more than 500+ NextHome offices and thousands of brokers and agents across its growing national network.

This acquisition unites two companies — NextHome and eXp — with a shared vision, empowering brokers and agents to grow their businesses while giving consumers and sellers the broadest possible exposure, all under one global platform.

Together, NextHome and eXp will continue supporting different ways for real estate professionals to build their businesses. Brokers and entrepreneurs who want to own and grow a brokerage can continue doing so through the NextHome franchise model, while agents and teams who prefer eXp’s virtual brokerage model can continue building there.

For existing NextHome franchise owners and agents, the day-to-day experience of operating under the NextHome brand is not expected to change. NextHome will continue operating independently, retaining its leadership team, franchise model, culture, and brand identity.

“At NextHome, our strength has always come from our people — our brokers, agents, and the clients they serve in communities across the country,” said James Dwiggins, President of NextHome. “This next step gives our members even more ways to deliver value, giving them access to additional resources and support while keeping the model and culture they believe in. It allows us to continue doing what we do best: helping people find their next home in a way that feels personal and supported.”

“We looked at every real estate company across the U.S.,” Dwiggins added. “eXp aligns with us the most — from company culture to philosophy to a leadership team that truly advocates for agents and consumers. This is the right partner to help grow the NextHome brand while preserving the culture and independence our members joined NextHome for in the first place.”

The announcement comes as the industry continues debating how listings should be marketed and who gets access to them. Both companies emphasized their shared belief that listings should receive maximum exposure rather than being marketed in ways that limit exposure to buyers.

“The industry has hit a massive tipping point. The old ‘one-size-fits-all’ brokerage model doesn’t serve the modern real estate entrepreneur anymore,” said Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty. “By supporting both the NextHome franchise model and the eXp platform, we’re proving that proximity to multiple successful models is power. Whether an agent wants deep local ownership or our borderless, global scale, they deserve a platform that offers real choice.”

For NextHome franchise owners and agents, the partnership is intended to strengthen the support already available to them while creating additional opportunities through expanded tools, referral connections, and operational resources — all while preserving the Humans Over Houses® philosophy and community-focused culture that define the brand.

For consumers, the experience remains centered on trusted local relationships, now supported by a broader network, expanded marketing reach, and additional technology designed to simplify the buying and selling process.

“This is not about changing who we are,” said Dwiggins. “It’s about creating more opportunity for our people while staying true to the values that got us here in the first place.”

At its core, the move is about supporting people — the brokers building businesses, the agents serving their clients, and the local communities both companies care deeply about. Both brands will continue moving forward together while staying true to what made each successful in the first place.
